Attended both my dentist and Zoe the Hygienist recently. Loads of info given on my teeth and gum health and what all of the measurements mean and what I need to do to improve it. Would highly recommend. Teeth feel so clean again.

We’ve always had a positive experience at this dental practice. Our dentist, Amy, is always great at communicating clearly regarding our treatment and making sure we feel relaxed and comfortable at all times. Staff are friendly and welcoming and my children have absolutely no anxiety visiting the dentist. They’ve always been happy to come for their check up appointments and encouraged to look after their dental hygiene. So thankful for such excellent dental care!

All seems a professional and competent practice apart from the time you wait to see the dentist on the actual day of your appointment. On my last two appointments May & Aug I have had to wait 25 and 20 mins respectively over my appointment time. The practice make every effort to remind you of your appt. with numerous emails and text mesages a few days before highlighting the importance of keeping the appt., which is fair enough but having to wait well over your appt. time is not acceptable. Perhaps you should inform the patient on arrival if the dentist is running late so a decision can be made to wait or not. Or, increase the time between individual appointments so you can keep to the times allotted to your patient. On my most recent appt. which was a follow up/check up it cost me £24 for 5 mins - if you work the hourly rate out then you will see why its so annoying. I don't mind the cost or the fact it was only a 5 minute appt. but having to wait well over the appt. time annoys me and feel you should make more effort to see patients on time and at least if there are delays then inform the patient, which is just basic customer service practice.

I was fortunate enough to get an emergency appointment to have the rest of a tooth that had snapped removed. I was in and out and didn’t feel a thing. Even though I had a reluctance to going to a dentists, they were great Thanks

This denist is one of a kind my teeth are not in best of state but they made me feel 1000% good in my self when I got out  thank you so much

Lovely welcome on arrival and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Practice clean and tidy and seen at my appointment time. The dentist I saw explained everything, including treatment cost and what to expect at my next appointment. Highly recommend Front Street Consett

I've been going to My Dentist for about 2 years now and I have to say they are the best dentist I've ever used. When walking in the dentist, nurses and receptionists are always so welcoming and friendly. They have a way of making you feel relaxed when anxiety is a big issue for someone. I would definitely recommend using them. I feel so at ease with the dentist I see, she's fabulous.

Well, where do I start?! Everyone who knows me will know I have two fears firstly, wasps and secondly, Dentists. I have been unhappy with my teeth for many years and have put off having any remedial work done due to previous bad experiences as a child with Dentists. After seeing some of Aran’s work I plucked up to courage to drop him a message and book a consultation - a huge step for me! However, upon being informed by Aran that in order to achieve the best possible outcome for alignment I would be required to have not one but TWO teeth removed due to over crowding, was enough to send me running!!! 3/4 weeks after my consultation I finally decided to put my big girl pants on and go for it. Best decision ever! Aran was extremely patient with me, knowing how nervous and how much of a big step this was for me. He proactively decided to book two appointments in back to back for my teeth removal so I was able to take things at my own pace without the added pressure of time. He took extra care and attention to how I was feeling, explaining every step of the process before it was carried out, only moving forward when I was completely happy. Aran’s top nurse Katie was there too with her constant reassurance and some decent tunes on in the background which always helps!! I can honestly say having my teeth removed by Aran by was one of the least traumatic experiences of my life, I’ve had worse spelks in my finger !!! The journey throughout my alignment has been a very long one and both myself and Aran have had to be extremely patient, I didn’t doubt Aran for a second when he said i was his most challenging case to date in terms of alignment. To say I am overjoyed at what Aran has achieved with my teeth would be an understatement. The before and after photos have blown me away, i have so much more confidence when I smile now. Not only that, Aran has completely changed my perspective on dentists and what is most astonishing for me is that he has completed eradicated years worth of built up anxiety and fear over anyone touching my teeth to the point I feel completely relaxed when sitting in a Dentist’s chair. Something I never thought would be possible. Aran and the team have looked after me from beginning to end, nothing is too much trouble and the standard of care and professionalism is second to none, I have never felt in safer hands. Thank you all so much !!!

Called up to register in August 2021 and gave details. Was told I would be able to get an appointment in the new year. Called Feb2022 to check I was able to book an appt to find they had not bothered to register me in Aug2021. Bit of a shame as I have had quite a bit of private dentistry with mydentist before at other practises however I will now look elsewhere. A waste of 5 months.

I'm putting this on for my brother who has adhd and Autism the staff he have been brilliant treating my brother with care and respect. He has been great with each appointment. Mental health is an unseen unspoken disability. Well done all of you from reception to dentist and dental  nurses .
