The actual Abbey is partly in ruins. Interesting but I found the surrounding area with its beautiful old houses and church, far more photo worthy! Also some intriguing straw figures dotted around the village including a policeman with a radar gun!!

Another wonderful example of monastic influence in Somerset. The English Hertiage employee was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the Norman influence on monasticism in England. Thank you!

A lot more to explore than expected. Amazing 13th century tiles relaid in the nearby church. Check out the monks loos.
