A gorgeous old and authentic tea room. Had eggs royale and it was the best breakfast I've ever had in the UK so far . The portions are big and the food is very tasty. People are friendly and it's really great value for money. Tried also the chips and cream tea, the chips were perfect and the scones were warm with a very generous portion of clotted cream and jam. They also have a kids menu. Would definitely love to go back if I've ever in Leicester again.
Always outstanding. The food is always excellent and the service is always good. It never fails to hit the mark time and time again. Great portion sizes. Fairly priced. I love the Eggs Royale and the Caspian is great too, the other half has sampled the English Breakfast which was also the same great standard. Outside seating available in the little courtyard where the front door is. Table service provided. Would really recommend Mrs B's without a second thought.
Very cute spot to have brunch! Recommended to me by friend and highly glad I took her up on it! Friendly staff, efficient service, food reasonably priced!
Best breakfast and food in Leicester at a great price! Two people for around £22. Massive variety of selection of foods and drinks. Staff are always welcoming and eager to help and serve quickly, providing the best service. Food is always warm and on point! Whole menu is served throughout the whole day which is a bonus if you wake up late. Indoor and outdoor seating and a very tranquil and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend anyone visiting Leicester to try this place out. It will never let you down!
We had a hen party and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here! It was a bit too warm upstairs. Would’ve been great if they had fans or something. The afternoon tea & the cold iced latte was really lovely! The brioche buns gave a nice twist to the sandwiches! I chose Red Leicester cheese and chutney as my option! All the sweet desserts and scones were delicious too! Oooo and the cheesy chips with Red Leicester cheese was really really delicious too!!!
Sandwhichs were bland and dry, cakes and Scones were fab but there were 2 French fancies clearly shop brought. There was no clear instructions for the afternoon tea and despite there being 3 of us we only got 2 of each dessert, and 1 Scone each. The Scones were beautiful though. Service wasn't great. Had to ask for plates and cutlery and no one came to check or ask if we wanted more tea after our pot went cold. For the price I would go again but I've had better.
Our 2nd visit to this independently run cafe and tea room. Excellent food and service. Pic is the chip sandwich all at sensible prices! We all enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely be back again!
It used to be an excellent place to go for a bite to eat. We have been going for 30+ years. The last time we went the menu had been cut down to basics, the service staff were clueless and hopeless. We waited 40 minutes for our food and when it turned up it was wrong. A shame really.
Food service and value all 5 . This quaint out of the main bustle of town is fantastic. Breakfast was to die for, with great service added in. You have to try their in house sour dough bread.Food: 5/5
I've walked passed this place for years and never been inside. Decided to go here for breakfast and I would honestly say I'll be coming back. It's seems small when you look inside but there is an upstairs with plenty of space and great seating. The staff are friendly, atmosphere very chilled and food great!
