I feel that there wasn’t the best choice of food and the food I was served was eh. The steak was overly chewy at one point and then rock hard at another. The fries were decent. The bread was also okay. The dessert, in my opinion, was the best part! However, it was decently priced and the service was very friendly.Food: 2/5
We went for afternoon tea and thoroughly enjoyed it. Delicious sandwiches, scones, and various sweet things. Lovely presentation. Good service. You must pre-book and pay and let them know in advance of any dietary requirements. We have eaten lunch/dinner here before too, and from memory it was good. The outdoor seating area for both eating and drinking is also lovely. It's a very popular place for weddings, with separate function rooms, so it's a busy place with a lovely atmosphere. Booking advised. Vegetarian options: Request the vegetarian afternoon tea when booking. Wheelchair accessibility: Seems pretty accessible, with ramps as well as steps. You may need assistance in the gravel car park, and to open internal doors to move between the restaurant/bar and toilets.
Truly a special place - we visited for Sunday lunch, the building is absolutely gorgeous, the food was exceptional, yet my special thanks go to the staff who offer a level of hospitality unlike any other, we’ve never felt so welcomed in a setting like this. Great food. Steaks although good a little overdone. So order one less level than you usually have and it's right. Service from Shannon was brilliant. Friendly and always smiling. Parking: Dark and in the rain not easy to see where parking is. Around the side and back of restaurant not well lit
I had 4 different restaurants in mind and this one was the one that was decided on! What can I say absolutely no regrets on finding out about this place. Mocktails to food everything was simply scrumptious. For starters we had scallops, mains beer glazed chicken and a sirloin steak. Both cooked perfectly especially on the steak. The desserts were simply marvelous. Creme brulee, and mango parfait. Abit on the pricy side for 3 course meal but would definitely come back again! Good place to go to for any special occasions.

We summoned the Steak Board – apart from fillet, rib-eye and sirloin, all the beef cuts are sold by weight – but my friend wasn’t keen, requesting instead some scallops from the starters menu and an assortment of sides. “Lots of people do that,” said the server. The only “bespoke” cut that was even vaguely plausible for me alone was a 250g hunk of Chateaubriand, the tenderest bit of the tenderloin.

Took the hubby for a birthday treat and had a lovely meal. The food was spot on three of us had steak which was cooked exactly as requested. The service was excellent and the server's where great.
Had to wait 35 mins after our booking. We went for afternoon tea. Wobbly table and food balanced on a damaged cake stand. Teapot was only half filled and spent our time listening to others making complaints. Selection of food was poor, presented poorly. Our visit was a birthday treat from my daughter. Would not visit again and charged her £50 for the experience
