Mowgli
"Mowgli is all about how Indians eat at home and on their streets. She was born to feed the raw need Indians have for tiffins full of fresh bright intense flavour. Mowgli is not about the intimate, hushed dining experience. It is about the smash and grab zing of healthy, light, virtuosic herbs and spices."

We were searching for dinner options during our first night in London and luckily came across Mowgli. We didn't have a reservation, but Jack still seated our party of six promptly. The experience just got better and better from there. We were celebrating a birthday and a recent engagement, and Jack wasted no time in bringing celebratory shots for us. Most importantly, Jack gave excellent and honest recommendations on what to order for both food and drinks, and was very helpful in describing how the street food style of dining works. Before our visit was over, we enjoyed another round of shots along with an incredible meal and fantastic service. As for the dining experience itself, the food was delicious and came in street food style portions. Each portion was easily shared between two people, and 1-2 street food entrees with a side or two was plenty for a pair. The drink menu was equally enjoyable and offered something for everyone sweet, spicy, smoky, etc. The atmosphere was enchanting, with lights strung throughout and swings instead of chairs for certain tables.
Cute Indian spot, nice ambience. We ordered a bunch of stuff such as : Yoghurt Chat bombs Angry bird Mowgli sticky chicken Butter chicken Lamb curry They were all decent, although none stood out as such. But given the cheap prices of around £25 pp, id still give it a 4 star. Great value for money.
Have wanted to eat here since I listened to the founder, Nisha Katina, being interviewed on the radio. It didn’t disappoint, swing chairs in the window are fun and the fairy lights give the inside a nice atmosphere. One very hard working manager maybe, explained the menu and was warm and welcoming. The concept is small dishes that come when they are ready and, if I had one negative, all but one dish came at the same time which slightly spoilt the grazing experience. On the upside the food was delicious and we particularly liked the angry bird and prawn curry.
We booked a late night reservation around 9:15PM, which we know is closer to their closing time. They got us in quickly and the overall atmosphere is just to die for. We were lucky enough to get the swing seats! The food was amazing as well as the cocktails. We definitely felt as if our server was new because it did take around 15-20 minutes before we received our drinks. Then we ended up having multiple different people check on our order status and bring us the bill. Despite that it was still a good experience
Had a great time here. The food was very tasty and the staff were all friendly. Would recommend if you are after some great Indian cuisine!
This Indian place is one to call home about. The food was incredible, probably the best Indian food I’ve ever had. I came with a big group so we tried most things on the menu and there wasn’t a single plate I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. It was a lot of food for a very affordable price, considering you’re in London. The restaurant itself if instagramable and it has swing picnic tables which would be perfect for date night. Definitely try it out!
Pretty nice experience overall. Angry bird is phenomenal and a must try. Probably the best roasted chicken I've had in a while. Lamb keema was decent, butter chicken was on point. The tomato one felt like it's from an European kitchen tho. Interesting chai cocktail as well, recommend to check out. The only downside being the small portion of each dish so prepare to order more than u think u should.
The venue is fancy and the atmosphere is cozy and chill. The food was not tasty as I expected, not bad but not impressed nor amazing comparing the other India restaurants. Overall, it’s a nice place with friends.
First time eating at Mowgli and had a lovely meal. The dishes are served in Tiffins, a round silver bowl stacked on top of each other. I ordered the ginger chicken and house keema lamb and rice. Portion sizes were just right. Pricing is very reasonable. Great ambience and helpful and friendly staff.
I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Mowgli. It all started when myself & my 5 friends waltzed in at peak dinner hour with no reservation. We were fresh off the plane from America, hadn’t had a meal in London yet & were excited to try some Indian food. We were greeted by Jack, who quickly became one of the best servers we’ve ever had & accommodated our large party with zero issue. If you go to this location, do yourself a favor & ask for him! He was patient with all of our questions about the menu, gave thoughtful recommendations, offered countless intentional touches like birthday shots & a warm brownie for my 30th birthday we were celebrating. Overall, he went above and beyond. So much so that nothing compared to him or the experience we had at Mowgli for the duration of our stay in London. I cannot recommend this place enough. Beautiful setting, fun seating accommodations, attentive staff & delicious food!
