I came in to Mount Stewart back in February for a breast reduction and I have to say my experience couldn’t have been any better! My surgeon was Mike Green who had been recommended to me many times by family friends who worked with him at Torbay hospital. He was absolutely incredible in every possible way. I was nervous about the surgery, but Mr Green was extremely caring and took his time to truly understand exactly what it was I wanted to achieve. He then delivered exactly what it was we had discussed in the consultations and I couldn’t be any happier with the result. He was very realistic so I knew what to expect with the outcome but has created a brilliant end result.nnThe Mount Stuart team were also very caring and looked after me extremely well both before my surgery, but also afterwards with all my post surgery care. I would also like to put in a special note for the kitchen staff. I have an eating disorder and eat only a small variety of foods yet they made sure to prepare me a specific meal which I would enjoy after my surgery, even though the kitchen would have been closed by that point.nnA truly brilliant hospital with a fanatics surgeon !!

For someone who is very nervous I was put at ease from the first consultation to having the surgery done, I knew I was in the right hands and at the right place. This is the place to go if you don’t like that “hospital environment”. Thankyou so much
I was an NHS patient but was fortunate enough to be offered Mount Stuart for my Right hip replacement, I cannot fault anything about this hospital , I booked in at reception and it wasn’t long before I was shown my room. My nerves were really starting to show but after my consultant Mr.Lofthouse and the anaesthetist had come to see me in my room I was assured that everything would be ok. I had a spinal block and sedation and I can honestly say I don’t remember a thing.nThe staff go above and beyond to keep on top of pain medication and answer any worries that you may have. And last but not least the food is absolutely delicious,a big shout out to the chefs and the lovely catering staff who brings the food to our room, and you are spoilt for choice for what they offer on the menu.nThankyou to each and everyone for the marvellous care I received you are all angels.nKindest regardsnKarennRoom 11
Torquay based private hospital owned by Ramsay Healthcare, I visited for a consultation via my health insurance.nParking is a well known struggle with very limited spaces on site, so get there early for your appointment. 2 hour free parking is available down the road outside about a 2min walk away.nThere is a three step procedure to enter, sanitise hands, change your mask and have your temperature taken.nFriendly staff await you at reception, water and tea & coffee available in the waiting rooms and toilets are available.nA mobile scanning unit was available on site at the time of my visit on which I had a scan later that week.
On behalf of my friend, Mr Andrews and his team at Mount Stuart were everything I could have hoped for when I had my gall bladder removed. They were caring and very supportive, keeping me calm and comfortable throughout the procedure from arrival to departure. I can't thank them enough, I couldn't have been in better hands.
