Some excellent shirts here at reasonable prices. The staff are very helpful for the greater part, except sometimes on a weekend if I’m unshaven and in jeans and old trainers when I can be made to feel like a tramp sheltering from the cold. But this is rare luckily. UPDATE I’ve been back a few times since and they’ve been great every single time. There’s some new staff including one man who helped me find all the kit I needed and chatted with me and my wife as he rang up the tills. Not polite sales-face chat. Authentic real life chat. They can have the dropped star back for the great staff.

I was served by a lovely young man I think who goes by the name Adam. Very charming and whitty! He was very good help. Very gentle, yet he grabbed your attention as soon as he said “hello”. I will not be a stranger to your store! Thank you for making me feel welcome Adam, a very nice gentleman.

I rented two male adult suits and two male children's suits in the middle of June 2017 for our wedding on 1 July 2017. When we arrived for the fitting on 10 June 2017 we were seen quite promptly by a very efficient and professional female sales person who measured the groom to be and other male adult very quickly. However, when it came to the children being measured for a suit (Moss Bros Bridgend don't actually have children's suits in stock in this store by the way. They judge the size of the children's clothes based on the fitting of a very limited children's trousers and jackets supply they keep on site for this such occasion so if the precise fitting of your child's suit is important to you I would not recommend coming to this shop) we had to wait almost 40 minutes because the woman who was attending to us got called away to arrange another customers refund because she was the only staff member qualified to perform this transaction in the store at this time. As you can imagine the children became very impatient very quickly; as did the adults towards the end. After our assistant completed this transaction she did return to serving us (after apologizing very profusely), however, she kept getting called away to rectify other problems in between. Our order was dealt with in approximately two hours, however, this time could have easily been reduced to one hour 20 minutes or less if they had other authorized and qualified staff on site who could deal with more complex retail issues. After paying our deposit we were told our suits would arrive on 26 June 2017 to give us time to perform any alterations if needed. On the morning of 26 June 2017 I rang Moss Bros Bridgend twice (staying on the phone for about 10 minutes each time) but nobody answered the phone. I then decided to call into the shop in the afternoon to inquire in person as to whether our suits had arrived as promised only to be told they hadn't and they would arrive on 29 June 2017; two days before our wedding! I asked if any alterations could be done in one day and I was informed that they could because the alterations are performed locally in Bridgend. Thankfully the suits did arrive on 27 June 2017 and every suit fitted every person beautifully, however, even now I doubt the validity of the claim that complex alterations could be done in a day considering time and logistical issues. If the suits had needed alterations I certainly would not have paid more for that to be completed in such a short time frame because it was Moss Bros fault that the order didn't arrive on the date they informed is in the first place! Then a few days after the wedding I rang Moss Bros Bridgend three times (again staying on the phone for about 10 minutes each time) to inquire how long we had to return the suits but again nobody answered the phone. My husband then returned the suits to a shop at his earliest convenience. I would like to thank Moss Bros for loaning us four stunning, expertly tailored suits that made both the men and children look gorgeous and also suggest that you either employ more managers or train up more of your staff to managerial responsibilities so that customers are seen more attentively and promptly which will undoubtedly boost your revenue. Also, get someone to answer the phone because you might be missing valuable business!

Staff are fantastic here and always happy to help. They make recommendations that are based on you and don't push you over your budget. I chose a tailor me suit which was exact to my specifications and fit like a glove.

I came here a few weeks ago, looking for a dinner suit for a formal event. The tall gentleman with glasses in the store was very helpful and seemingly knowledgable. I explained what I was looking for, but was open to suggestions as I've never purchased a dinner suit before. He measured my neck, and chest and suggested I wore a 15.5 inch neck shirt. I tired on a 16.5 as this was the only one they had open for trying on. I also purchased a pair of shoes, trying on two pairs and opting for the pair I liked the most. I also purchased cuff links to complete the look. The whole bill came to just under £200, which was a bargain for what I was getting. Fast forward 1 week later, I arrive in Paris with my soon be fiancé. I tried on the shirt with the 15.5inch collar, but couldn't do up the top button it was so tight. I try down at the shoes, and noticed I had two different pairs of shoes. Two shoes that looked nothing like each other! Perhaps I should have checked before flying to Paris, but I had faith in the gentleman's experience and ability to put together a suit for this very special occasion. I will not be using Moss Bros again for any of my suits in the future.
