We came to Moss Bros Northampton, recently for hire. For my friends wedding. The hire manager their was very friendly, and booked us an appointment. We attended the appointment and got measured up. We came back to collect our hire suits, and we has no problem with the fitting and returns. Thank you to Moss Bros, and the great customer service the hire manager gave us. He is an assist to the store, and we shall be returning again in the future.
Great selection of suits and shirts in store, Good prices for quality of the products. Very helpful staff in store and not pushy sales people just happy to help and steer you in the right direction. Definately recommended plus there wedding hire is great measured around you so it fits perfect on the day
Hired suit picked up on Thurs. Not tried on until Friday evening. Jacket too big! Phoned shop Sat morning. New Jacket supplied at no cost. Wedding Sat 1pm. Fantastic service and would recommend. Thank you very much!
I’ve bought myself a lovely 3 piece suit, some shirts, a tie and shoes on the 30th of September. That’s all due to Samir’s and Danielle’s great marketing and customer service skills. Samir found the perfect suit based on my preferences and needs. He took his time into explaining me how I should layer my suit and why is it so. Moreover he really new how to engage with a customer, very professional and he knows how to make a good joke as well. Danielle offered me some tips with regards to what’s in trend right now and what goes well for this season. Overall, as I said above, spot-on customer service, lovely staff and I would definitely come again to treat myself with a new suit.
I ordered a suit from AJ at Moss Bros. He spent so much time with me making sure everything was correct. The advice he gave me was spot on. Delivery time was less than the 3 week estimate. Suite is a great fit thanks A J
I hate having to leave a bad review as I have used moss bros Leamington for years and service has been great. However I went to the Northampton shop to order my wedding suits. To make it easy I took the whole wedding party so they could be measured and make sure everything was right. Annoyingly it wasn't to be. It didn't get off to a great start when the gentleman that was measuring claimed the tape measure was broken after the first couple of measurements. I was then told by the senior member of staff the Ted Baker suit and Ted Baker waistcoat I wanted were two different style so there would be additional charges. After showing them their own website they eventually understood they were wrong. We then has to remind them to measure me and on of the groomsmen for waistcoats because they had forgotten as well as shirts for 4 of us. It was a busy shop so I appreciate things could go wrong however it only got worse from there. After doing all this apparently the system didn't save so we had to leave it with them, and once they had sorted it we could go back in and pay the deposit. All very well except it's a 60 mile round trip to the nearest store. Given we were not local agreed that my finances father would sort it as they told us they had a store in Sutton Coldfield he could drop past. Annoyingly there is no store at Sutton Coldfield, which we found out once he went there. In some ways this was a blessing in disguise as I went back to my usual store to sort the deposit and it would be quicker to list what they had ordered correctly than what they hadn't. - Firstly the suits had all been ordered in the wrong colour. Light blue instead of the darker one. Frustrating as they had a 50/50 chance. - The waistcoats had been ordered in the wrong colour and style. We were going for a grey tweed and they had ordered navy blue, plain. - The shirts were the wrong style and by the staffs own admission would have looked terrible as they are only used with a cravat not the tie we are having. - Somehow despite everything else being long they had ordered me short trouser which was fairly obviously wrong given I'm well over 6ft tall. - They had ordered the wrong size shirt for the best man. - They also managed to order a different colour tie and pocket square for the best man, worst bit was these not only didn't match the rest of the party, they didn't match each other. - Despite writing down the delivery stores for the suits as one was to go to the fabled Sutton Coldfield store whilst the others were to be delivered to the Leamington store, all items were listed as being collected from Northampton. After best part of an hour we rectified all the issues. However for those of you that have helped organise a wedding, I'm sure you can appreciate this is very frustrating and you don't expect it especially when you are charged £9 per person for peace of mind. This whole episode has left a really bad taste and added significant and unwanted pressure to the wedding planning, as I thought I could rely on experts to get this right and not make us take three trips to sort out. This is most likely the most important suit I will ever own so I was expecting much better and I'm sure so would they. Needless to say I won't be going back to the Northampton store and would advise anyone else that is thinking of entrusting moss bros with organising the most important suit you'll ever own/hire to think about using an alternative store to save yourself the pain and cost. I look forward to hearing from Moss Bros on how they aim to rectify this situation and mend their reputation.
Although they had a fair selection of suits it was the same old story, nearly all skinny fit apart from three suits on display that were regular fit. I think it is obvious that most shops are aiming for a particular market and missing out on the potential sales of slightly older people especially with the demise of M&S and British Home Stores. I think its time buyers and managers had a rethink about what market they are aiming at and look to cater to a wider audience and like M&S not price themselves out of the market on goods made in the Far East at ridiculous prices.
I used this company to hire my wedding suits for my wedding in July. In January my Dad and I bought our suits whilst the others would hire there's after being assured that the suits would be available for hire. A couple of months later when sorting out the suits for hire, it turned out the suits weren't available to hire! So then my Dad and I had a right headache trying to return the suits. After a lot of messing about we did get the money back to then all hire the more expensive suits no better deal was given for their cock up. They wouldn't even budge on giving any discount on cufflinks, so I ordered them on-line from their website at a cheaper price and even that turned out to be riddled with errors no one seemed to know if they had been delivered to the shop or a collection point. Moss Bros also lost my details two weeks before the wedding, so I had to go in again for another fitting! They measured up my brother and he had to go back to them a day before the wedding because it was an ill fitting waitcoat. Oh, and my father-in-law lives in Sussex so he got measured up there and the suit was supposed to be delivered there, but they delivered the suit Northampton. As you can see, my experience wasn't good at all, and the suits costs a load of money.
Needed a smart suit for a Christmas party. Looked on moss Bros website and saw a few items that interested me so went to the shop to find that they had the most basic stock ever and none of the items that I'd seen. I basically wasted a hr of my life. DON'T SHOP HERE!
There resides a large humanoid in this store who will without fail attempt to service you even if you do not require or request it, however the produce is of top quality just like all other Moss Brothers stores. The layout is sub-optimal but somewhat larger than most Moss stores.
