The team in Moss Bros are incredibly professional and helpful. My fiancé and I went shopping there for a custom suit for our wedding. Excellent communication, support from beginning to end. Highly recommend.
So after appalling service at Moss Bros Hatfield we were literally left to our own devices, even though we had booked an appointment my fiance and I decided to go to the Chelmsford branch as I popped in there with my mum and the staff seemed really friendly. So today we visited the Chelmsford branch and was served by Harvey., a very kind, thoughtful, helpful and all round great sales assistant. Harvey took us through different suits and laid them out using various waistcoats and ties etc. Harvey was exactly what we were looking for in a sale assistant and we ended up changing the suits we had first picked to something more suitable and stylish. Hastened to say that Moss Bros Chelmsford is the place to go. Great staff,great location and a large fitting room to boot. I wouldn't go anywhere else if hiring suits.
Finally found a shirt that fitted nicely. Ordered in the store and paid for it, they didn’t have it in stock so took my details and said they will call me within 1 or 2 days when it will be ready for collection. I never received a call,, tried calling the store several times, different times of the day and different days but no one picked up the phone. Sent an email to customer support asking for them to follow up and send me an update. They asked for my number and said someone from the store will call me. Still no call from the store a week later. Finally got through to the store and they didn’t know anything about my order, even though I paid for it and my details were taken. Absolutely terrible service. Staff don’t seem to have any training and stock in the store if minimal. Avoid Moss Chelmsford!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Me and my family went into Moss bros looking for 5 fitted suits for a wedding. We walked in and explained what we are looking for. We then got told by the manager that we need to book an appointment to be measured. We said we will just look around. The manager sighed loudly and even turned to his colleague and said “those over there he pointed his finger will affect our sales” They could not have been more snobby if they tried. After hearing this we went down a few shops into Slaters who were unbelievably helpful. We ended up spending £550 on fitted suits from Slaters. The Lesson to be learned is if you are not wearing designer brand clothing and u go into Moss bros they treat you like you don’t exist. I seriously can’t stress enough for anyone reading this to not go there. The manager needs a reality check.
I am writing this review to complain about my experience at the Moss Bros store in Chelmsford. During my purchase, the gentleman who was very helpful to find me the suit that I wanted. The assistant Manager ,Keith ,However, was far from kind. He provided no help whatsoever to the kind gentleman who was helping me, and it was clear that he was fairly new to his job. When coming to make the payment, Keith however was rude and disrespectful. Me and my partner went to buy the suit for a wedding I wanted to attend to and the kind gentleman who was helping us out was filling out all the information in order to complete the checkout .Keith however told the gentleman who is serving me to please move away as another customer is waiting whilst knowing fully that the information for my purchase was almost completely filled out and moving aside would require to restart the whole process all over whilst me and my partner was searching for the discount code .It forced us to go to another floor which required spending 20 extra minutes to complete the checkout process as the whole process had to be repeated which infuriated me my partner and some of the other customers as well ,since we were very close to completing the checkout But however, Keith decided to uproot the whole process start the whole process again. We were very glad that the gentleman who helped us was kind enough to go through the process but was very upset with the situation himself I found out later that there have been numerous complaints made by other patrons as well about the same person who claims to be the assistant manager Keith, I would like to understand that the awful customer service that Keith has in his mind and kind of idea that he thinks to portray about himself.I understand this is a regular occurrence from Keith since I saw multiple reviews pointing to Keith’s poor skills as a human
I was going to London Town for a evening out, needed a suit urgently, so I decided to go to Moss and i was so surprised by the amazing service by the staff. Absolutely amazing. Two young lads helped me out, probably the most professional tailors I’ve seen in the business. Don’t go Saville Row, these lads are top tier. Professional, non cheesy salesmen and extremely competent. Amazing just amazing
Terrible service, my jacket was torn to ruin by this supposed tailor. More like an assailant. I am absolutely disgusted by this store. I can name and shame many 'staff' here who have no clue what's going on. I WILL be shopping at Halfords for all my purchases going forward. If you have a brain you would join me. I’ve used Moss Bros. for suits and other items of clothing for years, but can safely say I’ll never use them again. I have organised my wedding suits for hire from them and they have been nothing but awful with the service provided. I was told to bring my ushers in for sizing and measuring when I first placed my order and was told it was a maximum of four per order, no need to book an appointment. Three of us turned up one Sunday to be hurriedly ushered out because they were too busy and we were then told we should have booked an appointment. Two of the three had made an hour and twenty round journey. Next, the father of the bride needed a large suit as he is a big man, so the store ordered one in for him to try to make sure he was happy. We were told we would get a phone call letting us know the suit was in store for him to try. That phone call never happened and instead we had to chase. When the father of the bride did arrive to check the sizing was ok for him, the staff member tried to make him pay for the suit there and then, despite me having firstly paid a deposit and clearly explaining that I was paying the final sum for all suits when I collect them. Presumably no note was made of this, or a note was made that the staff member didn’t bother to read. Next, I popped into the store when in town to both make an appointment for four of the ushers to attend and to complain about the service up to this point. The manager apologised and then also said that actually they could only see three people per appointment. So, I booked the appointment for three people. These three turned up with me also in attendance as I had lost trust in the store and measurements were taken. I then booked further appointments for my remaining two ushers, one at a time, and my best man. One usher had an appointment that ran smoothly, the other usher was told what suit size they believed him to be, and he had to explain that he wore a suit every day for work and therefore knew his own size. The staff member was adamant and brought out the sizes he believed were correct, only to find out that the usher was right all along. When I booked the appointment for my best man I was told that there was no need to book an appointment for a week day fitting and could just wonder in, in direct contrast to what I had been told by a different staff member previously. Finally I attended a sizing appointment with my best man and at the end of this asked to check that they now had details for my full party. It was then explained to me that they only had the sizes for three people. The others, no notes had been made and they would all need to come back in. When I explained how angry this had now made me, the attitude I was greeted with was pretty nonchalant at best, indifferent at worst. I simply shrug of the shoulders and an acknowledgment that it was bad service. When I officially complained through the Moss Bros. website to their customer services team, I was responded to with a list of excuses and a meaningless apology for any inconvenience. Please, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I would have cancelled my order with them if it wasn’t for the fact that this would have caused even further stress and ‘inconvenience’ for myself and my ushers.
Lack of staff resulted in not bring able to get a wedding suit fitting as arranged. This could have been a disaster if the wedding was closer. They could have informed us before we all turned up. What a total waste of time. Some of the group travelled a long way and another booked time off work to be told cant deal with you and to rebook. This is not good enough! Feel really let down on what should have been such a wonderful experience...
Went to buy a suit for my son at Chelmsford branch, staff were unhelpful, seemed to get frustrated that nothing fitted right. So we bought the jacket only and left it in the bag we were handed it in as fortunately we found a more suitable one elsewhere so went to return it. I couldn’t as I was told it was creased… even though never taken out of the bag since we left the shop the day before and it was as they had handed it to us. Terribly unhelpful staff at this branch on both days.
