A great cafe/restaurant. The full English is particularly good but the roasts looked wonderful too. There is a nice outside space with seating and garden items for sale. There’s also a shop selling antiques and craft items. And they even have accommodation. Recommended.
We went here for lunch with our 2 small and naughty boys - so the outside space to run around was a godsend. The service was very speedy and the ladies serving us were extremely friendly, patient and kind. There was an interesting array of stuff in the shop - and beautiful plants for sale. Burgers were delicious. I'm really impressed with the innovative rebrand of this place - I never went in when it was a pub, but I can see that it still very much caters for that side of the business too. Thank you Mortimers Cross team!
We had a quite wonderful Sunday carvery roast here. Delicious meat, great veg, HUMONGOUS Yorkshire puddings and fantastic desserts. The service was great too! Our son has a few food allergies and they were very accommodating of him separate veg and his own gravy etc. Will definitely look forward to visiting again. 5 claps
Brilliant, took my parents there for lunch, they are 92 and 93 and they throughly enjoyed their visit. The building used to be a pub, it's now a café, restaurant, farm shop and antique and craft complex and definitely worth the visit. They still sell alcohol for those that like a drink, the food is lovely, the staff are really friendly and it has a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be going back, it was a most enjoyable experience. Went for lunch again and we all decided to have breakfast, Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royal and a full English, all we're excellent. The Eggs Royal were divine, smoked salmon, poached eggs, English muffin and sauce. Once again a lovely lunch was had by all.
A quirky little space that I thoroughly enjoyed passing through completely by accident. I arrived after 3pm so missed food but I enjoyed my coffee & pastry. The vintage shop and garden are great additions too. Would happily stop by again if I was in the area.
Fantastic place to stay at. Lovely rooms, clean and tidy and Fantastic food served
I celebrated my belated 60th Birthday today with my family and lovely friends. The Carvery was excellent, the Beef and Pork so tender, lovely selection of fresh vegetables homemade Yorkshire puddings just perfect. Homemade desserts to finish . Thank you to all the staff for your friendliness and great service. kind regards Denise
Thought there would be more things available to buy than there was. Bit pricey for some stuff but local stuff and good quality. The carvery smelled great
The food was excellent yet again, especially the beef.
A lovelly place for a breakfast or lunch , some great artisan products to by.
