Stayed in the area for two days and this was our local supermarket .nOne star off as we turned up for some breakfast but there wasn’t any hot food available.nApart from that. It was your standard Scottish Morrisons.nTopped up with Tattie scones, squared sausage, haggis and black pudding before heading back to North Yorkshire.nIf you are visiting from England, please note that the supermarket is open till 8pm on a Sunday.
Morrisons at Fort William is a well-rounded experience that goes beyond grocery shopping. The brunch is delectable, and families will appreciate the ‘kids eat free with an adult meal’ offer. The store itself is spacious and well-stocked, including a solid variety of vegetarian options, although halal choices are not available.nnAdditional perks include clean and well-maintained restrooms, along with convenient baby-changing facilities. A standout feature is the community bookshelf, which is a huge plus for me and adds a unique touch to the store, emphasizing its community-focused ethos.nnOverall, Morrisons at Fort William offers a comprehensive and family-friendly shopping and dining experience, with thoughtful amenities that cater to a broad range of needs.
I came to Morrisons just for the breakfast and was very happy with it.nThe store is very conveniently located next to the bus and train station with plenty of parking.nIt is a busy store and the cafe was especially busy. There was a 30 minute wait for food, no issue, it was explained and a sign also explained that if anything was missing from your breakfast they would supplement it with a mushroom, they did as there were no baked beans but it was massive!nI’m not 100% sure what a couple of the items were, a meat square, probably sausage, and and some sort of flat bread. Anyway, all was delicious and well needed.nAll for £5.89, a bargainnnUpdate: Sept 2023.nAnother visit to stock up on food and grab a breakfast. All still good as far as I’m concerned
This review is for the cafe, not the actual store.nnThe staff are very pleasant but having wild birds flying around the cafe isn't the best hygiene. Judging from previous reviews they've been here some time too. Give me a cardboard box, a twig and a bit of string and even I could catch them . Sort it out Morrisons please
Bigger store and you get pretty much everything you might need. Good stock in shelves on a Friday late evening. Ample of parking but restricted to 3 hours camera based parking regulation. Convenient location. Staff attentive in self checkout kiosks.
