I like it here, timpsons on site, plenty parking, nice store, clean toilets.
Regular trips here, Large gluten free area, amazing pharmacy, good selection of fresh counters ranging pizza, salad bar, fish counter, cold cut and cooked meats. Amazing selection of children's clothing and amazing floristy section.nnMuch larger than it looks on the outside. Always very clean and tidy with staff being happy to help. Toilets are clean.nnOne stop shop for everything you could need.
Great fish counter but I specifically asked the fishmonger if the fillet I was buying was scaled as I wanted to pan fry it. As he confirmed that it was scaled, I'd seasoned the fish ready to fry when I realised that it hadn't been scaled after all. It's really annoying to have to scale fillets while trying not to damage the flesh. This seems to be a universal problem across all supermarkets and independent fishmongers.
It gets even worse, now its absolutely FREEZING in there! Phone sensor says its 12c which is totally unacceptable! Staff all in wooly hats and scarves, some even wearing gloves! if your luck enough to see a member of staff that is! asked what going on lady said 'officially heating broken, unofficialy management refuse to turn it on in a poor attempt to save money because people, especially the elderly cant bare it so are going elsewhere... Unbelievable!nPremium prices, in a dump of a store!nIt's even worse than before!nHaven been for several weeks because of price, lack of stock and generally scruffy shop, well its just as bad if not worse! Boxes all over the place, containers everywhere full of stuff but nobody putting it on the shelves that are mainly empty, water all over the floors, and several smashed fridge/freezer doors.nI'm not surprised it was so quiet, I'm counting the days before this Morrisons closes and blames covid!
Nice supermarket overall, decent range of produce and easy enough to navigate, decent prices although Asda may be a little cheaper on average. Generally enough trolleys and baskets, although could maybe do with a few more big, wheeled baskets.nBy far biggest issue that needs sorting is the deli counter. Nice stuff there, but It just gets left unmanned, which I find unacceptable. I can be stood waiting 10 minutes and no-one comes to serve until I go and ask someone and they are polite and helpful when approached. Surprising how management can allow it to happen. Would definitely rate higher if this was sorted out.
