Like every day, I bought a meal deal. The side Slow Roasted Fridge Raiders was already 1 day out of date.
Went to your Lichfield, Staffordshire, store yesterday 2/4/24 evening around 7:30-45pm. I always enjoy your Gartastic Tasty Lancashire cheese from the Deli. I found only one pack on the fruit and veg area cheese display, so proceeded to the main cheese counter where I encountered two staff members chatting. I interrupted them: "Excuse me, do you have any more of this cheese", showing them the name. They looked in their display case one staff member on each side of the display and proceeded to inform me there was none left. I pointed out that there was at least one large wheel of the cheese under all the other already sliced cheese and the name of the cheese was clearly visible. I was then informed by the lady staff member: "We're not allowed to cut any more cheese". I was surprised as the cheese is one of the main sellers on the counter, and I can't imagine the big wheels being saved for next Christmas?? Obviously the attitude of the staff members was that it was too much trouble to cut the cheese for a customer and they just wanted to continue their conversation. Having driven far to Lichfield from Little Aston approximately 8 miles away, I was deeply disappointed with the attitude, and it does not surprise me that the store was empty, full of 30+ unsold Easter legs of lamb and large quantity of items all being yellow sticker discounted. If the staff are not interested, then the customers will choose within 2 miles of Morrisons Lichfield: Tesco, Waitrose, Food Warehouse, Aldi and Lidl. So there is steep competition locally and when customers travel from far distance, get treated with such discourtesy, they will simply just not return.
A couple days ago me and my boyfriend were served by a man called Ray. Lovely and friendly, super helpful. Had to leave a review!
Today is the 17th of June, that picture was taken today. Be warned if you’re going here to check dates! Generally more expensive vs other local supermarkets. Bags for life are excessively overpriced, fruit is very hit and miss, sometimes literally a one day best before date, some strawberries mushy etc. Child’s clothing is decent, pasta bar is great and meats are okay. More card is pointless - only use for the ‘offers’. If you’re able to go elsewhere there are better/cheaper supermarkets within 5-10 mins drive.
Made a deliveroo order and received food on the last sell by date, 5 cans of Jack Daniels and coke which were flat and looks like use by date has been rubbed out! Called to complain and was forwarded all the way to South Africa to discuss.. what a joke.. no more uk customer services! And once through.. a total robot not willing to take your complaint but deflect the problem to those who produce the stock! Bad business practice.. considering morrisons hardly have any food in.. thick sliced bread the size of thin.. everything now over priced but reduced in size.. Store management do not give a biscuit! Don't know what in the day light robbery is going on.. but I will be taking my £500 plus a month to tescos! Disgraceful!
Always freezing cold and today like others are saying I find that the sell by date of my Swiss roll purchased today 9 Feb is for 10 days ago. What's going on Morrison?
Shopping was fine until checkout when an on-offer was full price at the till. The very pleasant cashier called for assistance, when, although I had photographed the shelf price under the product, needed to look for herself. She then tried to argue that the label was for a different product but FINALLY conceded it was correct. I was then told I would have to pay full price and go and sort it out with customer services! I refused! In the end, a different product of similar value was swiped for them to go through the cashier was really nice and supported my position. A happy shopper had become a pretty annoyed one!
I’m not a frequent visitor to this store, but on the couple of visits I have made there were no issues, in and out of the store easily and parkings free for 3 hours
No tongues to pick up tea bags out of pot , had to use hands where everybody would have to use there hands and in recent COVID times I think is disgusting especially as the lady who served us said they had been stolen and never offered an alternative, cups weren't washed properly could see coffee and tea stains in the cups, and rings where the coffee or tea was poured too, slow service and not the best customer service where as we do normally get good customer service but this time it was different
