I only dropped in for a meal after visiting Redcar Carboot Sale, and I wish I hadn't. We ordered the beef dinner, what arrived was a throwabout of frozen veg, wafer thin tough sliced beef, oversalted horrendous tasting gravy that was starting to lump over, and smash instead of fresh mashed potatoes. Morrusins is great as a weekly shop. The cafe food is just dire.
Good selection of food stuffs, fresh veg, meat and fish, But! Expect to pay a little more than usual, e:g milk £1:89, other stores £1:65.
Was an okay breakfast, bacon not cooked properly. Service was great.
Vast choice of food, I always overspend when shopping here because theres a lot more eye candy especially if your bellys telling u mmmmm that looks nice.....
Always liked this supermarket chain. Decent without silly prices. Everything you would expect available and more. Great for Fish.
Nice friendly staff, used take out coffee machine and salad bar both were nice and clean areas which is nice to see, only thing was the was men's toilets was under refurbishment and there wasn't any were else to use as the disabled toilets was locked I was able to hold till later but what got me was a young boy saw the sign on the men's did the same as me tryed the disabled one to which he turned to me and said what am I ment to do and you should of seen the little boys face he was desperate and holding himself by this point so I told him to use the lady's because of his age I thought it be more expectable if you know what I'm getting at which I don't think he would done if I had of told it be ok n why. Maybe just worth putting a sign up if using the disabled toilets is a option while men's are under refurbishment
We ordered 2 english breackfast ,the Bacon was still frozen, the cafe under staffed , the staff have a stinking attitude. When I took the bacon back he picked it up with his dirty hands ,he had a strong smell of body oder and his uniform was very dirty , replaced my bacon with one even worse cold and moldy ,we had to clean the tables ourselves, very very poor .
Very poor customer service from man that was serving on checkout 4 today he didn't bother looking me and was too busy gassing to the lady on the next check out and banged through my shopping hardly a please or thankyou this is the second time I've had bad customer service from this store, looking at all the other reviews it doesn't look like anything will change and none of the the cashiers have name badges so it's very difficult to identify a cashier.
Probably the worst veggie breakfast ever, waited ages, cold on arrival, broken yoke, no mushroom and at £5.99 it was terrible value for money !
Went to buy drinks for myself and my family had 2 children with us. Stood for 10 minutes with no staff at cafe , I looked in kitchen there was one poor lady trying her best to make bacon sandwiches and other food. She said she can't serve as she is on her own. Management need to address this as we walked away with nothing after 15 minutes, who on earth thinks its acceptable to put one person to both serve ,prepare food and clean away on a very large busy inshore cafe . Absolutely ridiculous
