The dentist practice that don’t do dental work! Any issue and they refer to the teaching unit. I mean grant won’t even pull a tooth out himself! twice iv had to go to the emergency dentist on the weekend with the pain of having to wait for a referral and both times the out of hours dentist has pulled the teeth out with incredible ease and one was a wisdom tooth!. Do yourself a favour register elsewhere and find a dentist who actually does what their job title suggests they should be doing
My first visit. Such friendly staff and really helpful. As it was my first visit to a new dentist after being referred there, i was quite nervous however the dentist who saw me was really nice and really calmed me down. Her name was Beth, I really recommend booking an appointment with her.
The staff at this practice are warm and welcoming. I always have a pleasant experience here and the work is always of a high quality. As a dental phobic patient I felt very at ease and relaxed being allowed to ask questions at all stages of my treatment with Grant - I will definitely be returning.
Simon Hargreaves has been my dentist all my life and I wouldn't trust anyone else to look after my teeth so well! The receptionists are always really warm and friendly and, despite there being nearly a year between my visits, they seem to remember things I've said from last time which makes you feel genuinely cared about. The text message reminder service about appointments is also really helpful. Would highly recommend this surgery.
We've been with this practice for over 20 years and our experience is nothing like the other reviews posted. Our family are NHS patients and it isn't the dentists' fault that we can't get all the treatments we want or even need. No need to make personal comments about the receptionists ... They aren't rude when I forget my card. I prefer a touch of formality when I have a face full of anaesthetic. We are all different, I suppose. Handy for the bus station!
Great customer service from the ladies at the reception! I booked an appointment before checking the reviews, and I must say I was considering cancelling. I am glad I didn't. I called the surgery to make an appointment and it was scheduled impromptu the next day. I was asked to arrive 10min early before the appointment to fill in the forms. As soon as this was done, I was called to see a doctor. Young lady has made a standard check-up and since I am pregnant she explained she advises against the standards RTG scan. As I had no urgent treatments required, I was booked for the 6-month check-up and I made also a separate appointment with the hygienist. The service was excellent and I was out of the door within 45min since my arrival. Well done!
Excellent practice, reception staff very friendly and always try to accommodate your needs. Always squeeze you in if you got an emergency, can’t praise them enough. That goes for Simon as well who is my dentist. He’s friendly, reassuring and always does an excellent job. I would highly recommend this dental practice.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I've never had a good experience of coming to dentists until I started coming here. The reception staff are kind and helpful and the dentists make you feel at ease. Even my children enjoy coming to the dentists!
I've been going to Morgan Street Dental Surgery for years. The ladies at reception are always lovely and helpful. My dental surgeon Dr. Hargreaves is excellent and always makes me feel at ease. An email / text is always sent to me the day before my appointment which is so handy!
Never had a good experience here. I phoned twice to inform them I was stuck in traffic once when a lorry had jackknifed in Hopkinstown to say I was running 5 minutes late for the last appointment of the day, and they refused to see me. I understand that it is probably protocol and while annoying, I accepted this no issue. I was referred to the dental hospital and after phoning to see if the referral letter had been received, they said my appointments were blocked because of 2 missed appointments and a missed appointment at the hospital - I had never even received this letter. After blaming me repeatedly, the lady I spoke to said she had found a scrap of paper with my new address and hadn't been updated so the hospital letter must have gone to my old address. As a result I have lost a tooth due to the delay. I have never met such rude reception staff, who were so unhelpful both in person and particularly on the phone. They refused to accept that they had accidentally not updated my address and had made no notes that I had phoned to advise of traffic rather than just not turning up. In all fairness, the dentists themselves seemed pleasant enough but the reception staff were so unpleasant I actually sat in my car and cried after trying to locate the referral letter from the hospital to try and get the problem solved. Avoid at all costs.
