I'm a bit mixed with this. It attracts a strange mix of people in the evenings, so it kind of loses its identity. I've enjoyed going in the summer and sitting in the lovely back garden, but once it gets a bit later it fills up and it starts feeling a bit cramped. I've not been downstairs so I can't comment on that. Staff were friendly enough, until at the very end when it was closing. My friend was on crutches and the bouncer was being hostile and rude to us as we were getting ready to leave. Yeah, make what you want of this place, basically the only place in Blackheath that stays open a bit later so that's its biggest selling point.

Had a fantastic evening with my mates last night , after not being to this place before I was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews, I'm so glad I ignored some of the negative reviews, the place is nicely set out with a realaxing garden out the back and the place is set on 3 floors , you have to pay down stairs when it opens but it's kind of a separate night club basement and we was having such a nice evening we didn't want to leave so didn't mind paying. At the door on arival we was greeted by the door staff with a smile , and the barman was very professional. All the doorman are well trained and I would ignore the negative reviews, we was on the dance floor and they do come and stand next to you sometimes but that is there job and they are there to keep the idiots out .,The clientele in there I thought were all friendly and everyone seemed to just get on and have a laugh, if I could give more stars I would. Thanks to all the staff and the Dj for making me and my mates have a night to remember, we will certainly be returning and recommending you to our friends. Keep up the good work .

Bar is a lovely place but security are not.. Run buy old school bouncers who will happily hit a man or woman or even put someone in hospital. Police get called to venue nearly every week ment to b a upscale place but it is not what u would expect from a lovely area.

Rude staff, big guy just tried to hurt my friend after refusing to pay £10 to use the bathroom after 4 rounds. Bouncer was happy to hurt a woman by dragging her out after she said she was leaving. Avoid at all costs.

Amazing evening. Fantastic music. Fun people. Great atmosphere. Bouncers make you feel safe... A good night for dancing the night away.

A new addition to Blackheath, but much classier than Cave Austin which used to occupy the premesis.  Being a wine bar, they have a good selection of quality wines all served in massive glasses with plenty of swirling space, cocktails and bottled larger.  On the night we visited, the door staff were working hard to politely keep out people wearing trainers or dressed too informally, but anyone in smart casual wear was welcome. The clientelle was a mix of ages, but mainly groups of women and couples.  They have a garden area at the back, which should be nice in the summer, and a cocktail bar upstairs, which was very quiet when we had a look.  Definately worth a try if you fancy a few glasses of wine or a cocktail in South London.

Terrific atmosphere and great music. Staff sue and charlotte and the bar staff  very welcoming. Well worth a visit.

Small establishment but with 4 separate areas. Well run with bouncers always near by in case of trouble. Open till 2am in the basement.

Probably better at night...I arrived for happy hour and was the only one there.  No atmosphere.  Staff were polite though

Good music. Does become pretty crowded, quite small bar has a club downstairs
