Had a fantastic experience at Monkswood Garage buying our car. Christian was really helpful and allowed us to book an appointment and test drive the car we had found on Auto Trader the same day. He helped us through the whole process and had a fresh MOT and Valet done on the car for us before we collected and drove away. Would definitely reccomend.
Great service very polite my daughters very happy with the choice of car, took awhile as plenty to chose from thank you for her first experience of buying new car.
My partner bought a really good car from here, the assumed owner assumed father got annoyed when I tried to haggle price because they'd had it a few months and walked off. The younger assumed son was very helpful! After buying car we said about taxing it and he said 'just do it on your phone' and left, were young and have smartphones, hope they'd be more accommodating to people without smartphones! And the log book was done in paper form not online, but that didn't affect us! Warrenty is with another company not themselves, again not a problem but wasn't told it beforehand didn't ask in fairness Based on the car itself, we would buy from here again, and have looked online since for myself as all the cars do look tidy, only sells top quality cars by the seems of it!
Recently been involved in a car crash and car was written off. When enquiring myself for a new vehicle was quoted a high interest rate for another car with high monthly payments. Had bad experiences previously with larger traders and went to Monkswood garage on Thursday. They were able to get me a far better finance deal with a lot less monthly payments, and my new car was available to collect within a few hours. Customer service is absolutely brilliant. Also, followed up with a courtesy call a couple of days later to check everything was ok and if I am happy with the vehicle. Overall, after a very stressful and upsetting few weeks, this experience has restored my trust in car garages! Would highly recommend. Extremely happy from start to finish, couldn’t of asked for better. My new vehicle also came with 6 months warranty and can return when needs MOT for a lot less than other garages charge. Very happy!
Brought a car. Failed to make it home in the car the same day I brought it. Had it recovered off the m4 to a garage where they found a water leak from a aluminium coolant pipe. They also spotted a lump of wood wedging on a turbo boost pipe. The actuator arm for the swirl flap was hanging off and on top of this incorrectly fitted brake pad clips... not to mention the amount of rad weld residue that was in the coolant tank. Pipe was replaced along with the 4 illegal tyres cost me the best part of £600 in the first couple of days to put the car right. Contacted the monks wood garage to let them know what happened about the coolant leak... And the guy didn’t want to know. Not even a apology of any sort. Not even a token gesture to cover the cost of the part, or even the labour. I am truly stunned that this place is still trading. The 2015 consumer rights act must not apply to this car dealer. I did inform trading standards and I would strongly advise staying away from this dealer.

I recently bought a 2nd family run about from here . It was the right price and exactly what we were looking for .The car was also ready on time when we arrived to pick it up , valeted and looking great . Thanks lads , couldn’t ask for more .!
I found a listing on Auto Trader by this dealer for a Volkswagen Passat claiming the vehicle had a new MOT and when I called to inquire about the car, I was entirely led to believe it was ready to be driven away so I made an appointment for four days later, stating that I would be traveling from a foreign country for the vehicle. Upon arriving at the arranged time for the viewing, there was only one man present to talk to who claimed to have no knowledge of the appointment as well as the fact that the car neither had a new MOT, MOT at all or was even road legal due to bald tyres, and severely clouded headlights as well as whatever other problems that a unprofessional look-over wouldn't be able to find. The vehicle also had multiple cosmetic issues such as scratches, scrapes, dents and rust patches that were not at all evident on the photos in the listing not to mention a patch on the driver's rear quarter where body filler had been used and painted over without being sanded properly which was also not at all visible on the pictures. After broaching the subject of the state of the vehicle and the MOT, it was only then that it was revealed that the MOT would be placed on the vehicle once a buyer was confirmed and said he would try schedule it in for that morning. After being informed by myself and a retired professional of the automotive trade that the car wouldn't pass an MOT due to the aforementioned issues, the man said " Well don't have it then" before storming off leaving me and my associate standing, dumbfounded next to the car before we ultimately had to leave. Due to the intended nature of the visit and abhorrent misinformation, I didn't have the necessary time to find an equivalent for similar cost and so ended up leaving the country empty-handed and having lost 500€ ~£450 in travel expenses. These are clearly the tactics of a conman and a company of this caliber deserves to fold
Rude and insulting salesman. Had 11k cash to spend on a car and got rude reply's to my questions. Lucky I didn't filp! Will take my money elsewhere, I'd rather thow it down a toilet than spend it there. Disgusting
