Great cozy little French place. A table nearby made a fuss but felt I had to share our experience was the complete opposite. Lovely kind service, wine topped up throughout. AND THE FOOD incredible subtle french excellence. I'm still thinking about the jus that came with my canard. Honestly, it was Mon Plaisir to have dinner here.Food: 5/5
A wonderful French restaurant in the theatre district. It has a two or 3 course menu for pre show dining and an extensive a la carte menu. The wine list is also good. There are two dining rooms and some outdoor seating. The service was fantastic and the food delicious. The bathrooms are downstairs and there is a bar as well. Highly recommended Vegetarian options: Some delicious veggie options. I had the mushroom soup which was delicious and the pumpkin main. Again delicious.
Wonderfully delightful French restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden. Very unassuming and not overrun by tourists, but excellent food and service from the team. We walked in and could get a table immediately for dinner on a Friday night. The wait staff all spoke French and were very accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed the food we ordered escargots, duck confit and the scallops with king prawns - photos attached and the food was fairly authentic. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert! Do note the restaurant is quite tight so it will be more suitable for small intimate groups of max 4 pax.
We had dinner in this restaurant and we took the coq au vin and the pintade. The coq was really tasty but the pintade quite plain and average. Overall it felt a bit expensive for the quality. The waiter was nice and helpful. For the decoration it feels a bit old ans dark. The service was quite slow as there weren't that many waiters.
Went there to celebrate my birthday, and I couldn’t be happier with the meal! Super authentic French food, tastes delicious and cooked perfectly! I was just sad that my steak tartare as my appetiser was so small, but maybe I should’ve gotten it as a main : I will definitely come back! The onion soup was also really delicious! I think price wise it’s a bit on the high side, but not the most expensive French restaurant I’ve been to. And you get your money worth.
A lovely little French restaurant near Covent Garden & Seven Dials. It feels very traditional, in streets packed with chains and restaurants from famous chefs, and it has a good menu of French classics, with good wines. We visited as a group of six and were very well looked after. My beef cheeks were great, as was was the chocolate fondant.
Excellent and authentic food with enough atmosphere for the pre-theatre crowd which included us. My partner was snapped at for trying to enter the restaurant 10 mins before official opening the door was open. The red wine choice was unconvincing by the glass - white wine selection by the glass much better. Worth a try if you like French cuisine, though it is a little mixed with no real regional bias, so some French people might not like that and find it a little less authentic. Every single dish we had was great, however, and even the gluten free bread at the beginning was tasty. Recommended. Dietary restrictions: Decent gluten free options with staff knowledgeable and helpful about what is gluten-free on the menu and what may contain gluten.
Amazing food. Lovely decor. Love the dumbwaiter and ticket system. What makes it even better is that it is family owned and operated. We had the pork shank, duck leg and scallops and shrimp. All simply amazing and perfect. The mixed salads were huge for only 4.50£. Highly and strongly recommend this restaurant.
Surprisingly my first visit yesterday but won’t be the last. Great traditional food and sensible prices . If you are looking for a glitzy affair this is not the place , but if you want good food, good value even with quite a bit of wine and Cognac and a traditional atmosphere in central London it’s a must visit.Food: 5/5
Great food, but the retro decor has gone beyond cute and into scruffy. The French onion soup was a great traditional dish, the sea bass was fresh and delicious, but the bread and butter felt like it came from a supermarket. The whole decor felt aged in a bad way and the toilets smelt horrible and were awful.
