I knew it was a small world, but this is silly. Turns out the gentleman running this shop and myself are from the same area of Kent! Needless to say, the service was brilliant and he was perfectly happy to put items aside for me, then, let me sit on his shop floor messing about with the Stoves to see what would work with my kit for 20 minutes. On top of that, I also got some good recommendations for places to then go and use said kit. I'm very happy with my purchase, thanks

Great service overall, good advice, knows what he's talking about, small discount offered, helped me out in a tight spot when my Scarpa's fell apart on the SUW. 2 days later I've gone 50 miles without a blister in new, very comfy boots. Thank you kindly!
Stopped in on my way to John O' Groats. Owner was brilliant we had a nice chat and got everything I needed at a great price too. He knows his stuff and has a great range of stock for pretty much anything from a day hike to wild camping expeditions. Well worth visiting if your in the area and need a few waterproof's which let's be honest it's Scotland so you will.
Cycle touring through. I was hoping to find a 3m by 3m tarp. Unfortunately they didn't have any, but did actually stock other tarps and other more handy practical stuff. Like hammocks, but I couldn't justify the extra weight on the bicycle unfortunately. Sells quality stuff. Much better than your bigger town chain stores.
Good range, reasonable prices and helpful staff
Walking the Southern Upland Way carrying my own gear doing 16+ mile days. Remote route. Supplies very difficult to come by. Detoured into Moffat needing a large meal and wanting something that would keep long enough for 3 meals for following days. Was resigned to regular heavy food. Wasn't expecting to find an outdoors shop. The owner was really helpful - had a selection of dehydrated meals to rival most menus. Opted for 3 by a Swedish company. Great to talk walking with someone who has a keen interest in all things outdoors. Very impressed with the meals themselves. He didn't mind that I hadn't washed or changed clothes since starting the walk. Legend.
Fantastic and trustworthy service. Thank you Rick. He's extremely knowledgeable with many years of experience and the products he stock reflect this. He is a true stalwart of the outdoor community. I had cycled from Glasgow without any padded lycra shorts and was in need of a pair desperately as my arse was in tatters and I still had a couple of days to go. I didn't hold much hope arriving after 5pm on a Sunday, but I took a walk around Moffat and noticed Rick, the owner, had a sign up to say check Facebook or send him a text, so I did. 10 minutes later, he's at the shop and has laid out his stock of bibshorts for me to try on and fortunately one pair fit. Rick - my arse and I can't thank you enough.
Super kind proprietor who opened up the shop for me on his day off so I could get some cold weather protection. A great selection of gear at reasonable prices. I highly recommend.
