Whilst we at Dreams RV Centre always welcome any independent inspection to be carried out prior to committing to what is possibly the or one of the most expensive purchases that will be made in one’s lifetime. However in this case the original inspection that was carried out by this company that stated the following..... Roof ..The roof fibreglass has delaminated in lots of places and feels soft under foot, combine this with the internal ceilings and it is my opinion that water ingress could be the reason for this. This would be the biggest issue with the RV. From this report we decided to have an Independent inspection by an approved DEKRA compliant company who verified our findings. This is a long detailed report so we have just copied there conclusions a follows , CONCLUSIONS. Our opinion, being based on a physical assessment, written and verbal information supplied, observations made by the engineer and our previous experience: In this case the campervan was considered to be in a good overall general condition and had no evidence of water ingress noted as a result of a manufacturing or material defect. Condensation can build up when a vehicle is not suitably stored and ventilated over the winter, however this normally results in black mould on the interior surfaces of the motor home which was not present at the point of inspection. During the inspection was no evidence of black mould and the interior of the motorhome suggest that the vehicles had been suffering from a condensation issue or even a damp this issue, with our opinion being that the motorhome is currently fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality for its age and reported mileage. In preparing this report we confirm that we understand our overriding duty to the court and confirm we have complied with that duty, and we are aware of the requirements of CPR Part 35. Matters outside our area of expertise (if any) are clearly indicated and we confirm that this report is true to the best of our knowledge and belief and that the opinions expressed represent our true professional opinion. This has been an unfortunate situation for the couple that were hoping to purchase this super R.V. To date we have had no reply in our emails and letters from Mobile R.V. on there falsified findings.
