This a good place for someone looking to try Mexican food. Very friendly staff who was keen to recommend.
Nice staff but fairly bland food. Even the hottest salsa is not very spicy and the meat / rice / beans become sort of indistinguishable as the meal goes on. Burrito is the size of a newborn baby so still a very good value and nice date stop if you're in the middle of the city. Also you can get a beer here which is a nice complement to the food.
Not the best burrito I've had at all. The burrito overall had its ingredients just chucked in there, so when it was rolled it was uneven and wet and soggy. I think the company need to understand that the size of the burrito, doesn't immediately make it better. Didn't taste good at all. Stay clear.
This place used to be my favourite burrito vendor in Cardiff. I hadn't been in a few months and decided to back this Wednesday 18th Jan, 2017. My burrito was not great. The chicken was extremely dry, the sauce distribution was awful, it was all dolloped in the middle before the chap rolled the burrito, meaning my first few bites were dry, the rice was not very warm and the guacamole distribution was as bad as the sauce.
Now I love a burrito and have often walked for miles to find one. Having been to the glasgow one a few weeks before I knew what to expect. An abdominal punch of protein. Having just watched the rugby I needed it for my vocal chords. Washed down with a cool beer. You can't go wrong here.
I didn't know how much I needed burritos in my life until this place arrived in Cardiff. A few more places have jumped on the bandwagon since, with Wetherspoons now offering burritos, and the new Tortilla open on Chippy Lane providing some new competition, but Mission Burrito wins hands down, every time, with a heftier, tastier burrito with better ingredients. While Tortilla and Wetherspoons might offer a cosier place to sit down and enjoy your hefty wrap, they just don't compete. In fact, with great service and tasty food every time I've visited, I'd say that's probably one of MB's main faults - it's just too pokey to sit down with a couple mates and enjoy at your own pace. But if you need somewhere to stop off and fancy practically an entire meal wrapped up in a tasty blanket, this is the place. Pro tip: don't unwrap the tin foil all at once, cover EVRYTHING in the Chipotle sauce, and thank me later.
Seems like the only fast food place that caters to people with gluten/wheat problems. Very reasonable and very generous portion given with the rice box. I don't normally give 5 stars but they were pretty careful with the prep of my food. Will go there again very soon!
£5.30 for a huge burrito and a can of coke? Bargain! I love Mission Burrito - it's always fresh food with a good flavour, and compared to other fast food about the same sort of price, it's much healthier!
After leaving my favourite spot in Cardiff for burritos because they had run out of beans, I made the poor decision of strolling across to mission burrito. At the time it seemed like a good idea, as I have heard many chronicles of hype from many friends about mission burrito. Upon arrival I was greeted by colourful seats and cheerful prices. I was then greeted by two men who seemed to be burrito adovcates, such as myself and my two fellow pals. The food in the Bain Marie was covered by lids, this to hide the devastation that laid beneath. At first glance it looked like any other burrito chain, but I think this is because the lights were turned down low. I went on and picked what I wanted. The burrito appeared to be a hefty one, but unravelled to be monotonous. If you have ever eaten a dirty cauliflower or even tasted very cold dirt, then that is only what I can describe as the taste of this flavourless parcel of disappointment. Rice, DEAD. Beans, DEAD. Guacamole, DEAD. Salsa, DEAD. Chipotle, DEAD. Pico de gallo? More like pico de tomato, it was 97% tomatoes. I was starving so I managed to stomach about two thirds of this sack of dross. In our favour there was a selection of hot sauces available, our only choice was to drown the dirt with this sauce, this made the burrito more swampy. The only thing that was good was the drinks on choice, they just about managed to shower the grime down my oesophagus. Your mission should be to buy some spices. We retired from mission burrito with our stomachs half full and our souls destroyed. We decided to embark over to Burger King just to try and scrape some satisfaction from our failed mission, well your failed mission I should say. To wrap this up, buy some spices, change your rices, I don't care, I just don't want to be subjected to eating packages of dirt. If you guys want a better burrito, head over to Tortilla.
Great burritos, custom made and plenty of fillings. Quick friendly service and a loyalty card that gives the 10th one free. Brown tortillas option and alcoholic drinks.
