Minehead itself is really very nice. Coupled with a visit to Dunster and it's Castle and fudge shops make for an excellent day out or long weekend. We often go and especially enjoy the station when they have the days out with Thomas event. You can ride stream trains modelled on Thomas and his friends. Minehead has a lovely beach and great shopping and arcades with plenty of places to get food and drink. The only downside to the beach is the sea goes REALLY far out so try and catch the high tide. We've never really had an issue with parking but we get there quite early. There's beachfront parking as well as back Street and multistory.

Loved the atmosphere of yesteryear & so did the family! Long ride of about 3hrs with lots to see and do at different stations along the coast with beautiful scenery. Next time will bring some entertainment for the younger ones and stop off to see some of the museum's and harbours.

Well situated for the town & seaside. This station has the longest platform on a privatised railway & also has a modern cafeteria. A pay & display car park is right next to the station & access for the disabled is easy.

Full of nostalgia. Very educational and great for reminiscing.  Well done to all the dedicated volunteers.

For anyone that loves old steam trains then this is great. You can ride them or just take in the atmosphere. Nice little gift shop and have some good events throughout the year
