Wonderful wild area. Easy access from the North coast or the South. Pick the right time of the year as the weather can close in quickly if you are in the remoter areas. Amazing views and wildlife. Plenty of small hotels or B&Bs in the vicinity to use as a base.

Beautiful in the snow. We managed to find some routes and go for an explore. Were determined to still see some even with the snow. Great fun. Will come back again when the sun is shining :) so much to see!

One of the best holidays if you love walking, horses, wildlife and the outdoors. Children love getting closer to nature and away from screens.
There are lakes, rivers, streams, forests and woods so much to explore. Never short of things to do. Even in bad weather.
The wildlife is abundant and there are wild horses. The beach is not far away either and there are plenty of campsites or hotels and guest houses to stay in.

We were fortunate to stay in an isolated house on the middle of the moor. The weather was terrible, but we still got a lot of walking in and explored the wider area. It's a beautiful, scenic place.
