Visited the Millstone on a Monday night with a couple of friends for some food and the quiz. Halloumi burger with fries was excellent and the quiz was well done with a good picture round and questions displayed on the tvs around the pub. Some good hand pull beers on offer too. Will definitely be back. Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian options on offer. Various items on main menu had a veggie or vegan alternative so should be something for most people.
The outdoor seating here is lovely with a marquee up for protection. Staff are helpful and attentive. We used to love the food here but today the Food could have been a bit better for the price. Chips portions were good but the fish and burger were a bit disappointing for £9-10 a meal. Pie was nice but the vegetables were overcooked. Nice way to spend a day in the sun as the seating is south facing and the food will fill you up. Wouldn't go back just for the food though
A great local boozer, not your craft ale pub but they do have a few decent ones on, and nice pub grub, all at decent prices. Friendly service. They run a fun pub quiz on a Monday night, starting 20:00.Food: 5/5

Staff are friendly, good mix of people and done out nice inside with plenty of seating quite a relaxed vibe. Food is good and not expensive. Beer always good quality. Kid-friendliness: Has kids menu and friendly atmosphere
Had a cracking Sunday lunch here today. This place used to be my local many years ago, it's nice what they have done with the place, had a chilled vibe. Food was great, staff friendly and a decent assortment of beers.
My local pub, pop in for drinks regularly and enjoy the warm atmosphere and selection. This was my first time eating here and it was great, staff as nice as ever, it’s pretty reasonably priced by gosforths standards and the roast was delicious. Particularly enjoyed the festive elements of it and it was nicely rounded off by two well presented and tasty desserts!
Amazing Sunday lunch definitely recommend, dog friendly, friendly staff, colourful interior. One of the best Sunday lunches in a long time!!!Food: 5/5
Stopped off here for lunch on yhe way to the Freeman Hosp for an appointment. The main course steak n ale pie was nice but nothing outstanding. We ordered the New York cheesecake for dessert, which came out warm as if they had defrosted it for us . The ice cream that came with it was non descript in flavour. We will try this pub again at some point, but we are in no rush to return
