Great place to get walking and hiking equipment. Also if you just need a new coat they range from £30 all the way to £350 plenty of choice. The service given at the Wokingham branch is some of the best I've ever received with extremely friendly staff. They don't force you to purchase and will help you with anything you may need to know. I feel they provide well despite the small store and deliver great advice and service.

I got a tent & airbed from Blacks which was delivered to this branch, they are part of the same group. The tent zip broke, i called & they said the branch will do a return or replacement, just take the order number from the online purchase. Some guy in his 20s instore was *unbelievably* rude to me after i walked in & explained, started saying without a receipt he couldnt do anything etc etc, he refused to do what i advised Blacks had said then got even more cocky & rude, i was stunned.... He basically didnt want to know, do his job or serve a customer who was indirectly paying his wages. He got worse, started back chatting/arguing with me (?!) I eventually got thru to Blacks on the phone whilst in store, explained what was happening.... Within 5 minutes the very rude gut had sorted a new tent & refunded the other item (just like i had been advised & had come in to do) His response to me asking for his manager was 'no im not calling him on his day off, im a supervisor so you deal with me(?!) The lovely guy on the phone apologised profusely & is getting the area manager involved as this guy needs sacking or indepth customer service training. There was a lovely lady working in there who tried to help but he was trying his best to get her to act in the same way as him! Which she didnt. After 40 odd minutes of his terrible behaviour (to the point i filmed him & he started acting completely differently) then doing exactly what i asked for the moment i walked in, After my refund & new tent he said thank you (not making eye contact) to which i replied; you need to learn what the word sorry is & how to use it. What these people dont realise is that i probably will never buy anything from millets or blacks again, i will share my experience with others who will do the same as me & buy from somewhere like Amazon who have an amazing customer service experience, then this blacks/millets loses money, shops get shutdown & him as well as his decent colleagues all lose their jobs... But folk like him dont think... I wish id been a hired mystery shopper! Guess by taking the time to write this review & the email complaint to their head office will have the same effect. Thank you to those employees who helped me in a pleasant & proper manner :)
