Enjoyed coming here for a few drinks. Spacious and nicely decorated with a modern, simple feel. There are a number of staff but when it was busy, it was a bit hard to get service. Party sat next to us was having a meal and the food smelled lovely.
Untrained waitresss. Requested juice no ice and came out wrong. Need to shut to get attention for ordering drinks even there were very few customers around. Bad! I will not be back again.
Had dinner and for a hotel restaurant, I’m not expecting 5-star service. The service here is not good! Wait staff was slow took 20 minutes to even greet us and take our initial order, the waitress does not know what she is doing isn’t familiar with the menu, can’t modify any meals, food served has cooled off, forgets items but blames you. The food is okay, edible but not with any remarkable flavor. Pretty bland. Won’t go here or recommend to anyone
My husband and I had an afternoon tea for 2 booked at the Millbank Lounge, which we were really looking forward to as the reviews for this were very good. We arrived and were given a half pot of tea each. When the afternoon tea arrived we had 4 tiny sandwiches, 1 scone and 3 tiny cakes between the 2 of us. The staff were not very attentive even though the restaurant was not busy. My husband had to go and ask for refills of our tea. I know we had vouchers, which I had paid for, as it was a present for my husband. Overall the whole experience was disappointing and the food very poor. I did email the Bar manager, but have had no response.
It was a typical hotel eating experience. I had the fish and chips with mushy peas and it was quite ordinary. The service was decent. The decor is quite ordinary. Not much more to say.
Food was overpriced and portions were very small. Drinks were ridiculously overpriced. Only one person on staff had a clue what was going on.

Modern, crimson-lit stop offering European cuisine & comfort dishes plus cocktails & afternoon tea.
Refurb has really modernized the restaurant, bit more fitting with the hotel.
A very pleasant experience, relaxed and classy. Happily recommend.
