It was good, although once we got home, had the wrong size fish and the chicken kebab Mediterranean mix was not a good portion, more salad than chicken. But cannot deny it was very good. Also when visited was very busy.

Fantastic Fish and Chips, always cooked fresh to order. Good size portions, allow a large between 2.Food: 5/5

So many staff they get themselves confused. Curry sauce like sewage water. Called ahead to order and was told to come in 20 minutes. Got there after 30 minutes and they kept me waiting for ages! After asking if they added the correct bits they confirmed it was all there and once I got home items were missing.

Stranded as we were we stopped for fish and chips in the car - very obligingly Mike got out fresh fish and put it on boxes, cutlery and napkins. Very tasty and welcome on a cold wet August evening. I will be going back to Elmstead Market.

Excellent family run chippy that offers a lot more than just fish and chips.  The chicken kebabs are particularly good. Always a warm welcome from the very friendly staff. Card payment and home delivery available. Sensible opening hours. Well worth a visit.
