Chips were barely warm, soggy rather than crispy and squashed together by the packaging. I was not offered salt or vinegar on my chips as is customary for any chip shop I have ever been to over the years, I shouldn't have to unwrap my item and apply this myself when I am standing there. Nuggets were very hot by comparison and very nice, but few in number. If you can't get the basics right you're not going to get return custom. Polystyrene packaging in 2023 should be illegal. Vegetarian options: I understand they cook everything in the same frier, so not exactly ideal for vegetarians. Despite the menu claiming they have "vegetarian" options. Parking: Area was very crowded. Nearby rail crossing may slow down your delivery or collection depending on which side you approach from. Wheelchair accessibility: Building has a small ramp to enter the door. It has a very small customer waiting area with chairs and a drinks chiller, this area was crowded. The counter is a standing height. Not ideal for a wheelchair user.
The food was outstanding, I had a half pounder with bacon, cheese and chilli sauce homemade best burger I've had in ages. The premises was immaculately clean, the cleanliness was the first thing I noticed walking in, being in the catering trade myself this is very important to me and most people, the staff were very polite and helpful. Would highly recommend this fish bar. Keep up the good work
Just ordered 30 pounds of food, burger was dry chips were cold had a tiny dry sausage for kids it feels like there standards are slipping but still costs a lot of money you except decent food. We were regulars not sure if we will order again.
not the best chip shop around, , i was very hungry so did eat it all, , but major greasy, rather expensive due to lack of quality. I would buy from here again , , if desperate
Ordered a chicken shish, large chips and chicken nuggets. The shish and chips were nice, will definitely indulge again when I can't be bothered to cook. The chicken nuggets. Now I didn't eat these so I can't judge the flavour, but £4.90 for 5 nugs, I'm thinking these are upper echelon god tier like nugs. I was mistaken. My thumb was bigger than these "chicken nuggets". If you look closely at my picture you might be forgiven for thinking it was a chip. Anyway, the food was good, a bit pricey and the people were lovely. Just don't expect your 2-6 year old to be happily fed by those nugs, my 13 year old wasn't and she's eyeing up my shish.
just ordered from these people and received the most disgusting service we have ever had from a takeaway. we live 5 miles away and had to wait 1 1/2 hours for the food only to arrive with the order twice, we obviously only ordered 1 lot of food, when we questioned the delivery driver he was rude and abusive, if this is how you treat your customers you should not be in business and beware other customers do NOT order from here

The food can be hit or miss. Meaning that sometimes the chips are perfect and other times can do with 3 more minutes in fryer to get them crispier. And sometimes the batter is soft and sometimes crispy! Not a great deal of consistency.
Favourite place to order food locally, staff are really friendly, as well as the delivery drivers who are super polite and always deliver within good time. Never received a bad meal, food is delicious and they provide such a good variety, not your average fish and chip shop.
*They do not cook chips separate from the meat* I’m veggie so ordered a falafel wrap and chips. The wrap was really lovely. However I’m disappointed to say they don’t cook their chips separate from the meat. Obviously I assumed they would be at least vegetarian as that is the norm around here so I had already eaten them before. But as my mum is vegan I thought I would check with them today if they were vegan. At first they said yes they are cooked separately. We thought we would double check again so we called back to ask what they’re cooked in and they then confirmed they are cooked with the sausages. So they’re not cooked separately as they first told us. They have not made this clear on their website/menus so this is just a heads up for any veggies/vegans. It would be a good idea to make this clear on your website. It’s a real shame as it limits your customers. 2 stars is for the wrap as that was really lovely.
