So general waste bins are now only collected every 3 weeks, which is 100% not frequent enough, but to make it worse they don’t even turn up on the scheduled collection date at our apartment block in Burgess Hill. 4 times this has happened already this year, leaving bins overflowing constantly. Called to report this to mid-sussex council many times and they just say they will report it and it should be collected soon, then it doesn’t, so you call again and you end up in a circle of frustration and empty promises.nShocking organisation and service! Why are we paying ever-increasing council tax! They need to be reported for stealing people’s money and giving a totally unacceptable level of service in return. Appalling!

I called about my bins not being emptied. I was on hold for 5 mins. The person was helpful, polite and had already received my log online and dealing with my request. He said my bins will be emptied within 3 working days. I gave 5 stars as it was an easy process.

For 2 consecutive weeks the food waste bins in my area of Crawley Down have not been collected on the scheduled dates.  We are now left with a significant amount of rotting material which will now increase over the festive period. It cannot be disposed of via the general waste bin because it is full being only emptied every 3 weeks !! This new refuse collection plan by the council is a complete farce and totally unacceptable.

Food waste collections in Crawley Down have been an absolute failure. For two consecutive weeks, bins have not been collected on the scheduled days, leaving residents with rotting food waste and nowhere to put it.nnGeneral waste is only collected every three weeks, so bins are already full. The council has reduced services but cannot even deliver the replacement food waste collection properly. Residents are left dealing with the consequences.nnThis situation is a clear public health issue. Rotting food waste attracts rats and vermin, and the smell will only get worse as we head into the warmer months. Completely unacceptable for a residential area.nnWe all pay significant council tax every month, yet the most basic service cannot be relied upon. This new refuse collection scheme is poorly planned, badly implemented, and totally disconnected from reality.nnResidents deserve far better than this.
