TL;Dr : Would I go back? No, it's extremely bland and quite expensive for what you get. But you can wear a sombrero. I was really looking forward to going here, the staff are lovely and there's a great atmosphere however the food.... I opted for their taco Tuesday deal which is unlimited tacos with a drink. I was given a small glass of a frozen margarita and a choice of their 5 tacos on offer. Rules are you have to clear your plate before you can order more. What they didn't mention is that it can take up to 15/20 minutes for the next dish to arrive. The tacos were extremely bland and no salsas offered. I doubt they would even make a difference. Churros were not fully cooked even though they took 15 minutes to bring them to the table. But the winner of the whole dinner was the calamari I ordered from the starters, that was up there with some of the best I've had. 1 plate of 2 small tacos outside of the deal would cost you £9. Wouldn't recommend.
This place is worth a visit for the amazing cocktails alone! They offered a variety of cocktails that were inspired by different regions of Mexico. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Enjoyable vibe, albeit a bit kitschy. Excellent margarita, the frozen one especially a hit. However, food okay to good. And sadly the bill did not fit the overall experience £70 between two?! in a place with sombreros?!
The music and vibe of the restaurant was quite nice, but unfortunately they do not serve authentic Mexican food The cheese they put in the nachos is fake cheese and it tastes cheap it’s like a kind of fake American cheese sauce The dip came with the calamari was a bit strange as well… And the tequila cocktail, they were quite sweet and you could tell there’s not much alcohol in it Chicken tacos and prawn quesadillas were okay but I wouldn’t say they were worth the price. Staff were quite friendly and nice and they gave you sombrero for pictures
Gorge decor, great cocktails, friendly staff and yummy food mains are small so order a medley. Gets a bit chilly if the heaters aren’t on and the roof is open but such a cool vibe!
Visited on a Saturday afternoon and there was definitely a party vibe with a dj and music. We ordered cocktails, starters and mains. The cocktails were really nice. We ordered starters to share including the corn on the cob star of the show, the padron peppers were relly tasty but did need cooking a little longer. The shrimp starter is the same as the shrimp in the tacos so I probably would have skipped that. We also ordered guac and chips but I think the guac portion size was a little on the small side. We ordered the shrimp tacos, cod tacos and the steak tacos. The shrimp tacos were really yummy. The cod tacos were battered would have preferred them grilled and the coating had a slightly weird taste so I probably wouldnt get them again. My sister had the steak tacos, she said they were nice but she's had the chicken tacos before and they've been the best ones. The tacos are served with 2 little sauces both were really nice. The staff were friendly and helpful, really good service. The do have vegan and vegetarian options in the starters, tacos and quesadillas. Would definitely visit again.
Wouldn’t come back for bottomless slow service compared to other places I’ve been! although the frozen margaritas are nice. Unless you just want a non rowdy chill bottomless lol. They make you all finish your drink before you can be served the next one. And you wait awhile for them to serve you your next drink. Food was okay. The back garden part was cool though, the decor is well done, I liked the skull glasses lol. Spent £50 each for bottomless and two tacos. Some of the staff a little serious but one of the waitresses was really lovely.
Was a bit of a mission to get inside for a drink and not sure why the guy at the entrance is so strict about it, but nonetheless, once inside, we were sat at their new bar. The staff was great and their selection was amazing. Obviously the prices were expensive, but that was because we were drinking premium tequila and mezcal, I would think of it more as an experience and a trip to Mexico!
The service was absolutely awful, we waited around 1.15 hours to get a Frozen Margarita and 1 hour for a beer, as we was tired of waiting for our Margarita that we ordered from the moment we sat down, one of the waiters told us there was a queue of drinks and that at some point we would get our Margarita, he was not very helpful at all, customer service was not good and he kept arguing with us and the peopleat our side. There was a couple at either side of us that was having the same problem as us with the service, that all we could do is laugh about it and talk about how bad it was in there It should be advertised that the £35 is only for drinks and does not include food which is not mentioned on their Website nor instagram until we go there and he told us. It was just really dissapointed because it is a really nice place to dine and the atmosphere is vibrant and the service completely let it down. It was just chaos during brunch with the drinks and how long it took, we literally kept asking all waiters for our drinks, seems they were either not prepared or they should have had more staff during this busy period. Recomendation to the owner/manager. Maybe you are advertising Frozen Margaritas you should have a slushy machine. When it came to dinner time service we saw that It completely changed, seems the service was more attentive from what we saw from others and also some new waiters arrived which they seemed to care more about the customers they were serving. The carne tacos should have had flavour, they seemed so bland and empty, was tasteless. The tortilla wrap was also hard that when tou tried to fold them they ripped seemed stale. I'm from South America and this was dissapointing to see that tacos had no flavours. I would not go back unless the service improves and I do not recommend anyone to go there for brunch. We don't even think we should have paid that service charge as the service was not worth it.
I have been there twice and it has been nice to be honest. The other night I decided that I wanted to order it with Deliveroo at home. Never again in my life: food arrived 1:30/2h later that the estimated 20 minutes and not what I expected. I ordered: Sirloin steak tacos Quesadillas “Chorizo a la Mexicano” Potatoes The tacos were missing every single ingredients except the meat as in picture. in case you wonder if I removed the ingredient myself, I would be a genius to be able to remove black beans mash, salsa de la casa and cheese from it without leaving a trace. Quesadillas were only three slices, instead of four slice as showed in the picture and as you would expect from a tortillas cut in 4 slices, plus a little surprise inside: a massive piece of white sausage skin inside. The only decent thing matching the description were the potatoes. I work in King’s Road and quite close to the restaurants, I’ll tell about this experience to every single customer will come to my store. And plus Deliveroo refuse to refund my order for god what reason, which despite having people asking for refund even when they receive the food and getting it, I actually had a horrible experience and not what I ordered. I am sorry to leave such a bad review, but when a service is bad and it doesn’t get recognize it needs to be shown. EDIT: Hello, appreciated your message.
