Located in a Grade II Listed former power station, The Power House 1901 now comprising a warren of recording, mixing and production facilities and rental spaces. A word-class facility, stalwart in the London music industry renowned for sprinkling aural fairy dust onto many recordings since the 1980’s. Much less so nowadays Affiliated with the ACM, in so doing, a School of Rock, indeed.
Amazing to see this historic building and be able to visit these studios. This is the best music studio in Europe.

DO NOT BUY THEIR IMIX SERVICE! Utterly terrible, even by day 1 amateur iMixing standards. Details and Soundcloud audio to demonstrate below.. What a joke of an experience. I submitted 4 songs for their iMix service and this cost me a whopping £2k, which other music schools have since laughed at me for doing so, like Manchester's SEM. But I was determined to have a professional sounding quality for my first EP. I found Metropolis online and submitted my stems for iMixing, hoping their reputation and the big money equates to quality. What came back was so horrific, I asked for multiple changes and then cancelled after the third song. I was forced to buy Izotope software, which I used to iMix the songs myself from scratch. And you can tell the difference between mine and theirs is night and day in quality. And I'm not even a Mixing engineer. Here is a Soundcloud link, where each of the 3 songs are taken in turn, first showing their poor work remember each song took £500 from me, followed by my amateur, but much clearer, Izotope attempt; search swiftleigh on soundcloud Any music producer can hear that their attempts are utter trash. Each track is very muddy. There is no excitement and presence. The chorus of Near Me is extremely muddy. Where is the bright studio separation of the stems? Break Out chorus is horribly muddy, lacking excitement and if you could see the waveform, it has been clipped like it has been pushed on the limiter in mastering stage, rather than mixed. The chorus of Into the WIld is lacking energy. All 3 are utterly awful. While on reflection mine may lack a little bass, you can hear the difference is of much higher quality than theirs. Mine is lively, bright, exciting, and the placement of the stems is balanced and appropriate. There is no mud. This is the purpose of stem mixing. And I wasted £1500 finding this out. Don't make my mistake I was intending to use their iMastering service but immediately knew not to risk this when I heard the iMix returns. I also have emails to prove all of the following statements - they bounced stems with noticeable clipping clicks across a track, showing no care to check before sending - simple vocal mixing such as taking pronunciation of 'p' and 'b' in vocals not adjusted correctly e.g. reducing volume - poor email correspondence where a week would go by with no email reply at times, with no out of office messages. I had to loop in other staff to find out what was happening to my mix I asked for my money back but they said the service was done, which as you can hear is an utter joke. Do not be like me and be scammed. I have in email that their "turnaround per track is up to 15 days". I ordered in April and the third track was only finishing in June, two months later! To a really poor standard. Avoid, avoid, avoid
