Finally got round to booking the Liverpool Bay cruise and what an absolute delight it was. The perfect sunny day, great views and a selection of sea shanties. Drinks and food are served throughout the cruise and there are toilet facilities on the ferry and at the ferry terminals. There was a dolphin sighting I missed it, I did however see a pod of seals, a ship wreck and the amazing cityscape of Liverpool and the Wirral. Highly recommend
Loved this! We were in the city on business and decided to explore taking the ferry over to seacombe. Staff were great, weather amazing, locals gave us a quick rundown of the history. What an amazing place I almost felt homesick when we left ! Everyone is so friendly Thank you Liverpool
Had a cracking night on the 70s disco sailing 21/09/24 So many people dressed up looked amazing. We stayed downstairs as more room ,had the music there but could have done with disco lights there as well as upstairs but didn't let that stop us from dancing all night. The best view of our amazing city too .
We took the ferry trip which left at 3pm. We had originally booked the 1pm trip, however the wind was too strong at that time so it was pushed back. The ferry was lovely, very authentic and plenty of seating, with an onboard cafe and toilet facilities. Information is played throughout the trip to explain the sights and surroundings. Would recommend the ferry trip on a nice day.
Such a fun way to take in the sights of the city and learn more about its history. Listening to the history of trade in the port is really brought to life by being on a boat! The ferry itself is so fun to look at and it was a really special experience. The audio guide can be heard clearly throughout the saloons and outside. Access was easy, even though we boarded on quite a windy day!
It's been Over 50 years since I went on a mersey ferry. So this was emotional for me. My dad took me on trips over to bebbington and birkenhead. I only wanted a taste if what used to be. Memories did nit flood back, but it felt good to tick this nostalgia filled experience off the old bucket list Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
So for the price the River Cruise isn’t over priced. Takes about 50 minutes, automated information on loud speaker system , didn’t see any staff after we sailed off from terminal. Didn’t use the conveniences so don’t know if clean or not. Bar / cafe was closed it was the 4pm sailing last of the day points of interest are pointed out all pretty obvious to be honest. A pleasant sail on a sunny day.
To be honest for 50 minutes journey, it didn't feel like 50 minutes. It was very short for me. I didn't really know why. The weather was not very nice. But I can see some stunning views of Liverpool!! I sat outside to enjoy the view and couldn't really hear the audio commentary. I guess if you wanna listen to audio you can't sit outside and vice versa. Hopefully, the Mersey ferry can sort this out. And since we are going back to the same terminal we just go round in a circle and see the same thing. I think it will be a good option if we can have a variation of terminal. So customers can choose which terminal they want to get off and hopefully this will allow us to see different things. Overall, this mersey ferry can be a good option for you if you wanna see the view of the sea of liverpool.
If you get a chance to sail on a Mersey Ferry, take it! These are fabulous little ferries, with lots of info inside about Thier history. These hardy little boats were part of D Day. The River Cruise is great, really good commentary full of useful info about what you see during the trip. Highly recommend.
