Merryhill Country Park is a caravan and camping site is set just north of the sprawling city of Norwich.

Story

oo, what a view! The scenic sights of this site will hit you as soon as you skip through the gate at Merryhill Country Park: tropical plants and a rockery, big lawns to sunbathe on, a pool to lounge beside while daydreaming up at the countryside…

And coo, what a lot to do too on site too… the energetic could tackle one of the two all-weather tennis courts, the big grassy area for ball games or the pétanque court – if you don't know what pétanque is you've never been to a French campsite...

If chilling is more the name of your game, make your way to the Merryhill clubhouse next to the swimming pool, for a game of pool, darts or table tennis, and send the kids off to keep themselves amused with the clubhouse's games, library, Wii and PlayStation – you might not see them for hours...

The Merryhill clubhouse is also the park hub for many different social events during the year: expect discos, fish and chip nights and live music on various nights; ask the team when you get there if anything is on during your stay. (Unless otherwise specified, Saturday nights are disco nights, so bring your best moves.)

Pitches at Merryhill are on level landscaped suntrap of a camping field, many with views over the pool and all with optional electric. Guests have access to a campers' kitchen with tea-making facilities, a washing machine and tumble dryer; also on site is a modern shower block with separate gents', ladies' and disabled-friendly loos.

For supplies, a large Sainsbury's and several shops are five minutes away and two pubs are within walking distance, with another, the Swan, overlooking the river nearby in Ringland village. The Cock Inn nearby serves real ale and good pub food, and there are shops and pubs in Taverham ten minutes away.
