My daughter has been in agony on and off with her wisdom teeth. There's been the typical response of giving antibiotics and stalling to take the teeth out..even though we know that is the permanent solution. She was told she would need an xray but they couldn't do one for weeks but she could get one done privately sooner so they could see the problem with the wisdom tooth before deciding what action to take. She paid £80 to get the xray done and has been chasing them over for over a week to find out what they will do to resolve the problem. There is another problem though, that being the receptionists who either don't seem to be available to ever answer the phone or who are deliberately not getting back to her despite her leaving messages asking them to do so. There seems to be a complete lack of any empathy for the patient despite the website stating, 'Here at Simplybright our ethos is centred around ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of service from when they first enter and meet our reception team to the care provided by our clinical staff.' My daughter just wants her tooth pain caused by the wisdom tooth resolved permanently...surely it can't be that impossible!
I would not recommend this dental practice. There used to be a very good dentist but sadly he left and there have been numerous changes since. My last visit as a private patient has forced me to find a new dentist!

After having my last appointment cancelled and then Covid and now to be be told I'm no longer on the books, not been for 3 year. Unfortunately I need help with an emergency, but they will not see me, as I was under the NHS umbrella. I admit that I do actually have insurance, but didn't mention it as they were fobbing me off, but as they treated me so badly, its time to move. I liked Dan, the rest were rubbish. Lucky we can afford to move. My advice is to avoid.
I was referred to this practice for a difficult molar extraction, and after months of discomfort and pain, I'm so very happy to have finally had it done, and with professional, efficient service to boot! The premises are very clean and well-kept, and the interiors are sufficiently welcoming and comfortable considering limitations imposed by the covid-19 pandemic. The staff were friendly and helpful, both in arranging my appointment and in dealing with me on the day. Because I was not especially nervous, I cannot attest to the staff's ability to address concerns in anxious patients, but the procedure was adequately explained to me by the dentist, including the long-term risks, and alternative treatment paths were offered. When it comes to the treatment itself, while the staff were not overtly welcoming, I appreciated their professional attitude and efficiency. The whole experience was over within 10 minutes, which is preferable to a long, drawn-out struggle, and the dentist informed me as to sensations I might be feeling throughout, and even checked to see if I was okay, which was very much appreciated! The extraction was done without incident, and the anaesthetic was administered properly and totally effectively. Aftercare instructions were provided, alongside extra gauze to stem bleeding, and overall I was very satisfied with the experience. If the staff of the practice are reading this, I'd just like to thank you all for being a quick, painless and efficient solution to what had been a long, anxiogenic, painful problem. It has made and will continue to make a huge difference to my health and happiness
The stuff nightmares are made of. Antonio performed an extraction which included an hour of yanking and drilling. Sent me home believing it was all removed to my relief, only for me to discover 3 days later at the emergency dentist that he had left the roots in & protruding from my gum see photo attached and the nerve exposed. He now denies all knowledge and has even tried to blame me for misunderstanding what he said. Other staff are nice enough but if you are referred to him, maybe think twice. There's a reason he has spaces available.
I am a current patient and can’t get in touch with them to make an appointment, despite ringing many times and calling by. Having to switch practices.
Really helpful and friendly staff here. The dentist and her assistant who saw me were very professional, and the hygienist left my teeth feeling the best they've ever felt. Comfortably the best practice I've been to.
They are so good - best dental surgery that I've been to in a long time and they have dentists that I trust!! Professional and helpful receptionists who care and explain clearly what the charges will be. The dentists are friendly and will do their up most to try and help.
One of the worst in Lewes in several ways. I booked an appointment 2.5 weeks in advance and was told ON THE DAY that it had to be rescheduled due to the dentist being 'unavailable'. Furthermore, this practice offers no friendliness, compassion or even decent service. You get the distinct feeling they are only interested in your wallet. With so many other dental surgeries around, I would recommend to avoid this horrible little run-down place like the plague.
