Sadly it looks as though I'm joining the growing list of unsatisfied customers. Visited here yesterday with a toothache and left still with a toothache and feeling very unhappy. I've given it a one star rating because I just feel that they don't care and that they come across as a bit threatening and somewhat condascending. When I first phoned up, the receptionist told me that I missed my last appointment and if I were to do so again I would be taken off the register. Bit threatening I thought. I don't miss my appointments generally and if i can't make one i telephone to let people know but fair enough if I messed this one up I apologise. I get that it is a massive inconvenience. My problem is that the appointment she was referring to was in 2013! 5 years ago! I can't remember that far back and don't recall an appointment or the circumstances resulting in my non attendance but it looks as though you're marked for life. I mean come on! Anyway, moving on. I felt like a naughty little schoolboy when the dentist told me I hadn't been for ages too and that I had a missed an appointment in 2013 and that doing so has made a minor problem worse. I get that if you don't attend regularly and you get a cavity that leaving it will exacerbate the problem and I don't need reminding in a patronising manner that it can potentially end up costing more in the long-run but my reason for not going is not a financial one it's a little thing called life getting in the way. In the past 5 years I've been abroad and upon my return I've set up a business. Sometimes tooth care falls down the list of priorities. Again, I get that this can make small dental problems worse. The main problem I had with this place was that upon leaving and paying the lady at the desk I was told that the follow-up treatment would be £244. No problem there, sounded reasonable for the treatment required. Unfortunately i didn't have £244 pounds on me. I only had two cards on me, one which I don't know the pin number for and one that didn't have that amount in the account and I certainly didn't have that much cash on me. I didn't think it would be a problem as the appointment was in two days time so I suggested that I would pay when I come back for that appointment before going in or alternatively I could telephone through later on that day or the following day and make a payment over the phone. I was told that I wouldn't be able to do either of these and so she would have to cancel the appointment. I was stunned! I've got toothache! I want the appointment! What do you mean you'll have to cancel the appointment? I asked. She said she needed payment right then even though the appointment wasn't for another two days and despite the fact that I was offering to pay over the phone or come back later. If I didn't pay there and then she would cancel the appointment and give it to somebody else. I couldn't pay there and then so I said she would have to do what she saw fit with the appointment and that i wasn't happy. I left with my toothache feeling very unhappy and have decided to endure the pain and look for a better, more caring and helpful practice.

Fantastic Dentist! If you look at the theme for negative reviews, people miss appointments or don’t attend every 6 months and get kicked out! NHS don’t pay dentists very much, this man kindly accepts NHS where most don’t because they are much more money in private work. Instead of criticising this dentist, why don’t you appreciate the fact he is one of very few willing to operate under the dental NHS rates. My experience, he’s very polite, very professional and has a genuine interest in helping you rather then upselling. The practice is a little basic, no mirrors and spotlights like a private practice, but I go for the Dentist not the building.

It was nightmare! I went there to check my teeth. Dentist tried to clean my teeth. He used a drill. No idea how to call it. Let's say drill then. He did not use it well. Accidently scratch my front tooth. I found my tooth surface damage after I went home! Do check reviews when you search a dentist! I made a huge mistake to go there!

Always had good service here from reception to dentist also and again today a great experience. Thank you all! See you in 6 months.
