Just spent a couple of nights with family here... Very nice rooms and staff friendly (particularly on reception) and really wanting to be helpful, although really clueless at times. Numerous unsatisfactory moments including breakfast table not set, inexperienced staff left in charge, incorrect dishes sent to table pretty constantly, milk floating with black bits and very limited buffet choices one of the two mornings. After complaining after one meal, staff were very apologetic and a refund offered immediately. The hotel manager came in to apologise in person the next day but at the meal that evening one of our party had to complain about the food he was given and the manager seemed to react very unprofessionally and disappeared after thumping replacement meal on table. Not nice. Pity because hotel is in good position and many staff have the right attitude but really could not recommend.

Used this hotel as a training venue. Rooms can be dark and gloomy but others are bright and spacious. Food at lunchtime has been consistently poor and the choice at the buffet is limited. Staff on the eating area have not been the best when it comes to manners. One woman in particular is rude every time one of our group has asked her a question. Trainer experienced dirty rooms while staying here and was reluctant to use the toilet in the room as it was so bad. Hopefully our experience is an exception to the rule rather than how it is all the time! I know I won't return unless I have to!

Nice overnight stay and excellent service in the restaurant. Bed rather hard for my personal taste but clean and well presented rooms.

Bar staff dont know what they are serving. Too strict and not giving choices. Old menu on the wall. Manager not interested about guest satisfaction. Just want to look right. I would avoid it like the plague. Depending on what you are looking for.

Very pleasant one night stay. Clean room. Warm. Comfy beds. Hadn't the opportunity to stay for breakfast. Will definitely return.
