Wasn't the best to be honest. £25 for 2 large cod meals and with both we had some very undercooked chips. The fish were cooked lovely but the batters weren't great. I'm no expert but it was too thick in many places and on the underside it was solid/burnt.
So we came here for new year eve we've drove passed it many times so we decided to have a fish and chips from here...omg the food was delicious. We had 2 large fish and bag of chips curry sauce and chicken burger.. best fish and chips we've had in ages. Definitely will be coming back again.. staff really friendly too.
Not many tables, a bit unclear whether it’s the waiter coming and taking orders or whether you’re supposed to come to them and order food. Food was mid at best, nice gravy, chips were ok, fish was a bit tasteless maybe just because I had cod. Not impressive but not bad either. Food was served in about 10-20 mins since ordering. I don’t think I would come back again.
Placed an order online for collection, took my money order went through turned up to collect, and they were closed! opening times state they should be open, rang the number on the website over and over no answer…. Nothing on social media about having to close absolute scam and awful service. Fine if you’re closed but turn online orders off!!!
Got to be honest, the beef burgers are the best I've tried from a chippy ever and actually look and taste much better than I've ever experienced before, and the chips are perfect too, not really greasy or dry either.nHaven't explored the menu any further to date as I've only recently discovered this place and it's not just around the corner unfortunately, but I have to say that won't go anywhere else if I can help it, all of the staff are friendly and polite and the shop is well maintained, looking forward to my next visit in the near future
