Left my smart car there to be serviced. Treatment from the receptionist to the services person, Steve, was amazing. I was dressed in simple clothes and left there a used car to be serviced and felt treated really well by them. They found a number of issues with my car and let me know the issues and the cost and estimated time to order the parts and fix the car. They did not proceed with repairing the car till they were able to speak to me and let me know exact every detail. They were so nice that they advised me to consider not fixing the car, given the cost, and charged me only for the diagnostic which had been communicated before, so, no surprise fees, etc. The service was 5 stars from the beginning to the end and they were fair throughout the service. Big congrats to the Hertford dealership.
Just bought a GLE 53, through John Jones from Hertford Mercedes, a pleasant experience with John taking care of all the little things like road tax, service plan, registration of new vehicle etc. As I live an hour and a half away John did a walk around video and emailed it to me to give a better perspective of the car before I traveled to see it. They still haven't come back to me since my visit despite travelling miles to get there, and despite being a CEO. Very stupid of them for overlooking my enquiry as I've just last Friday placed my order with my local Toyota dealer for the new Land Cruiser. Mercedes keep letting me down. It seems to be a trend with them to hire ignorant people who are not qualified in anything. How do these people get jobs working for Mercedes Benz??? No wonder people are avoiding the make more and more. The franchises just don't seem to care anymore and seemingly are run by uninterested people.
I had the responsibility of buying a car for my elderly mother. We found a suitable smart car being offered by these guys. What a fantastic service we received. The car was really nice and prepared fantastically ready for our collection. Everything was sorted and my mum is over the moon - job well done by all especially Richard. Thanks
Ripped off. Bad mechanics. Over priced. Asked them to fix the noise. They didn’t. Said they found the issue and would cost 178 fitted, but it wasn’t in stock. They ordered the part apparently then called me back 3 hours later to tell me the part must come as part of a bigger part and the price went up to 500 fitted. Oh and this part was in stock! The call me and I went to collect it after the works finished, and the noise was still there. The sales man said it was the tyres making the noise. I argued that it wasn’t and they looked over it again and found a faulty wheel bearing. Another 250 on top of the service on top of the other parts and I spent 1800 in total.
Customer service leaves a lot to desire, I ordered service kit , I actually made sure over the phone that they have it all available as its a 45 minutes journey for me, once i got there to collect I was told filter is not available in the stores although it shows on their system, I had to go another 12 Miles to stevenage to collect which put on an extra hour and extra mileage for my return journey. On the positive side people working there are friendly .
Absolutely disgusting service from the whole team , I have been treated so badly from the whole team who seemed to not care about me spending just over £31,000 . Everything was soo rushed no one gave me Crystal clear information , the salesman tried to say that the price that we agreed on over the phone was a lie , when it was all over the email , and than they told me that is better if we cancel the deal as is not going anywhere. Honestly I am disgusted from the service I have received and glad I didn’t purchase the car. Please do not buy from them at any cost.
Poor after sales service. Never supplied charging cable with second hand electric car we bought, despite chasing and chasing with calls and emails. UPDATE: After much harassment eventually got the charging cable so star rating has gone up.
Appalling service. Went to Mercedes to have my sat nav looked at. Dealt with Liam. After diagnostics I was told needed a new Ariel. I clarified that this was defo the issue and was assured that it was. Booked in for repair. Turned up at 8am to be told shortly after that the part wasn’t there so took a morning off work for nothing. Rebooked in for today and after a few hours was told the Ariel had been changed but the problem was still there. My option was to now try having a software update or having the whole computer changed which would be extremely expensive. Had I have been told that there was a chance doing this work wouldn’t fix it I wouldn’t have bothered to start with. The only reason I went to Mercedes rather than a general mechanic as I thought the diagnostics would be better and my car would be sorted. I said I wasn’t happy to pay over £500 to leave with my car exactly the same as it was when I arrived but, was told they wouldn’t release my car back to me until I paid. Liam didn’t care that I had completely wasted my morning yesterday or again today, the manager wouldn’t come and speak to me I just felt like I was being held to ransom. I would never step foot in this place again. Technicians are useless and the after care team aren’t interested. Very disappointing for a prestige brand like Mercedes!!! AVOID
Bought a nearly new Mercedes EQC back in December 2023. Reasonable service in the dealership, although wouldn’t arrange delivery or remote purchase, which most seem to these days. Bigger issue was a while after taking ownership I had to charge away from home for the first time. I discovered a charging cable hadn’t been supplied with the car. Almost three months of phone calls, emails and constant chasing later and I still haven’t received it. I’ve had an apology and promises that it’s “in the post”, but no cable. Not all public chargers are tethered, but fortunately my home charger had a fixed cable. If it didn’t, I’d have had to spend a few hundred pounds on a cable. Not what you expect from a decent dealer, let alone a franchised Mercedes dealer.
