"Mercado Lounge is on Abbey Street, just off the High Street in the heart of Market Harborough. We’re a handsome place, with floor to ceiling windows all around and a really pretty large central courtyard, perfect for watching the world go by. For a such a large open plan space, we’ve a surprising amount of nooks and crannies to get lost in and enjoy our fantastic range of food and drinks including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus served in a really relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our rather smart building used to be a headquarters for Golden Wonder crisps, fact fans! This is apt as we, er, sell crisps sometimes."

A long standing returning customer. I’ve been coming here for many years and enjoy it every time. Its of the nicest of the ‘lounges’ chain I’ve been to. Staff are always welcoming even when it does get busy. From big breakfasts to cocktails at night they never seem to miss a beat. And I’d like to add I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal here. The addition of being able to take your dog is just great too!
Food is full of flavour and it's so different. The sweetcorn fritters are the best. The cocktails and milkshakes are great too. The staff are friendly and helpful. A new favouriteFood: 5/5
One time I arrived here and a member of staff gave me a menu, but he didn't just give me a menu. He whipped one out from under a plant pot without disturbing the plant pot. After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I was compelled to leave a tip. Another time I was awaiting food doodling in my notebook when a server asked me about what I was drawing and we had a pleasant conversation. And the many times I've ordered takeout food, nice messages are written on the box that give me a smile. The food is great, the bar is cool but the staff are cooler. I've been to a few Loungers around the country but the Mercado Lounge has the best staff I've ever encountered. And they are why I keep coming back. Vegetarian options: Vegan options are fantastic
What a find! Heading to Market Harborough to enjoy time with great friends, 1 vegan, 1 vegetarian, an omnivore and fussy me. I found the mixed tables and chairs good. We switched a leather chair for our vegan friend. No problem. The menus catered for everyone. I had the chicken burger with bacon and . Delicious! Everyone cleared their plates. The choice of non-alcoholic beverages is very good. There are games and toys for all ages. I only gave atmosphere 4 stars because I am nervous around unfamiliar dogs and there were a few in the venue. Table service is via a QR code, but it was quick and accurate. I will return.
A family group went to the Mercado lounge yesterday for dinner, The service was great and quick. Very friendly staff. They have a great vegan menu. I would definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
We love the food and also the fact they accept our fur babies there, but it's a very noisy venue. Also today my partner had a meal but I only had a dessert....but it took ages for my brownie to come and when it did, it came naked!! Not warm, no chocolate sauce and no cream or ice cream....but the dogs were getting bored so I just wrapped it in a serviette and we left.
Busy and a great selection of food and drink. At one point I saw the nicest looking cocktail being prepared from my seat, I asked what it was and ordered straight away. Really nice place to take family for a catch-up.
Great menu with plenty of options for all dietary needs. The staff were really helpful and nothing was too much of a problem. If you're looking for a relaxed place to eat this is perfect for you. Dietary restrictions: Huge gluten free menu
Giving a two star because the two fish fingers were very nice, however my wife’s dish of pasta and mushrooms was tasteless. I was also unaware that this establishment is also a crèche. However staff very accommodating and apologetic when I did return my food.
We came yesterday 1st march 2023 for my Birthday, I came with my daughter and son and families for a treat lunch out. Fab cosy place, friendly staff, my chili beef brisket was very tasty and also the sticky Mexican rice. My biscoff doughnut was great. We did have yo move tables as autistic grandson couldn't cope with a dogs barking quite near to us. No problem at all staff just moved us. Very nice staff, lovely food, my cherry bakewell drink amazing but cherry wrong dort, cocktail cherry would be better. Overall fab experience.
