One of the best restaurants that I have ever eaten in. Small, but with a great (and not at all stuffy) atmosphere. The food here is terrific, with a constantly changing menu, you never know what's going to arrive next. The tasting menu is a pleasurable adventure, taking you through many different styles of cooking... All delicious! The flight of wine was also a revelation. Perfectly accompaning the food, and brave enough to surprise. A truly excellent experience that I can't recommend enough!

Without wanting to give the impression I'm a knob - I've eaten in a lot of good, very good and excellent restaurants in my life. Lunch here was simply up there in the top 5. Subtle, complex, intelligent, multilayered and totally delicious - each of the 5 courses. Great friendly service too. If these guys don't get offered a huge future by someone to invest in 'em - there's no justice. Totally hats off.

Second time here, not as good as first time. Almost at a Michelin star level and lovely service. Dreadful wine list.

Exceptional tasting menu (no a la carte); inventive dishes, and well proportioned. Compact restaurant, slightly of the beaten track, but an easy taxi ride from Bath city centre. Service was fun and friendly, but a bit too rushed (amuse bouche only just arrived when our first course was served); and no introduction provided to the menu or concept. It's a great place in many ways, and a 'go to' on the Bath food scene. It's not yet quite the full package. But it could be.
