The only 4* Hotel that we have stayed at where the kitchens close at 6.00pm forcing us to find a nearby pub for dinner and with no room service or papers. Room adequate and of a reasonable size but plumbing needs an upgrade with dripping taps at no hot water for several hours after our arrival. Breakfast and service in the golf club was very good, but reception rather indifferent to our concerns and made little effort to make up for any shortfalls.
Stayed here last night after celebrating my sons wedding at Brocket Hall. Honestly the bedrooms could do with a complete refurbishment. Wallpaper peeling of bathroom needs a complete overhaul. On the plus side my bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Good selection and well cooked and presented. For the money they charge it really does need updating.

Lovely location, beautiful room, delicious food, breathtaking views and peaceful grounds. In addition to that the staff was very polite and helpful. The overall experience was lovely, definitely recommend Melbourne lodge.
