Brilliant book shop, packed with plenty of titles. I went in to purchase some books from the Amdani series Mynediad level. The shop assistant was very patient and lovely to deal with as I practised the little bit of Welsh I've learnt. Her wonderful service meant a lot to this beginner! Looking forward to getting stuck into the books. I'd definitely buy from Awen Meirion siop lyfrau again, and thanks very much to the lady assistant!
I wandered into this shop intrigued by the Book of the Month recommendation which I duly purchased. However a very pleasant conversation with the owner led me to purchase two Alis Hawkins novels, None So Blind & In Two Minds, the first of which I have just finished reading and it was a first class read. Always great to find an independent retailer with a passion for their products. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to my daughter 6yrs old and helping her to choose some new books and not making me feel ignorant because I havent learn the language yet . I will reccomend you to any parent.
It's the best bookstore I've been to in Bala, and the proprietor is just wonderful and generous. He's knows his Welsh history. I go there every time I'm in town.
