Story

At MEAT PEOPLE we are a friendly neighbourhood restaurant & bar located at the start of the ever popular Essex Road, Islington

Inspired by our Grade II listed setting, the restaurant serves prime cuts of quality meat alongside some more traditional favourites with a good selection fish & other seafood’s

We aim to be unique in our approach to Meat with interesting combinations being cooked up by our renowned Chef Nicolas Buyo mixed a with friendly, welcoming team.

The Milanese sandwich had me licking my lips and wanting more. Just moved into the area, and this will definitely be my usual Friday treat! Hats off to the kitchen and I can't wait to book in to the restaurant for a yummy meal! Also, the lady who served me dropped it off to the green, how about that customer service!!!
Had a lovely lunch at Meat People today. Fillet Steak and Red wine. Wine was an excellent recommendation from the staff and steak was cooked nicely. A little pricey but where in London does a good cheap steak? Will definitely visit again.
Lunch is lovely and fairly reasonably priced for the quality, dinner is also great. The chimichurri they make in house is amazing. It's very much no frills, quality food so make sure that's what you are after!
Vintagey feel, beautiful coffees, delicious tapas and cosy atmosphere! Attentive and friendly staff. Worth a visit! 5 star*
Excellent lamb rump and gratin dauphinois £13, just this was well worth the visit. Nice empanadas and Malbec too.
Amazing vibe, friendly stuff with brilliant manager Magdalena! Totaly fall in love with a perfect cooked steak and great selection of Italian wines. Definitely will come back to try everything from the menu ! Very very recommend!
One of my favourite restaurants in Angel. Great food, great wine, great service, great atmosphere and a great location. I wouldn't change anything. Highly recommended. I will be back soon. Thank you.
Exceptional and tasty food, I like the atmosphere the place has, and the employees were nice. I will surely come back again.
