"The Meadows in Tavistock is a beautiful, large, grassy park with an excellent children's play area and fenced in toddlers area. There is plenty of good quality play equipment and recently rubber matting was laid so it is extra safe with no more mud! There is a canal on one side where you can feed the ducks and there is a lovely walk along the river Tavy into the town centre on the other side. There is a small cafe Trudy Scrumptious for drinks, toasties, home made ice cream and cake etc that is open 11am to 4pm from April to September long as it isn't raining heavily. Parking is nearby at Meadowlands Swimming pool, or in the main carpark next to it you can park all day for £2.50. Postcode for sat nav is PL19 8SP"

Such a great community space. Lovely little park nestled away in amongst the stunning town. Great for all ages. Spacious and well kept. The ducks are happy to be fed and thr children love watching them. Has nearby toilets, parking facilities and a lovely little cafe. Right on the site is the meadowland swimming pool amd the town itself is only a short walk away.
Beautiful place, with River on both sides and play ground in the middle. Great for picnic, there is also sensory garden full of beautiful flowers. It's located just the car park. Playground: Great playground, it's very big with many swings and few slides, trampoline, zip line. Restrooms: There are toilets available by the car park. Just few minutes away.
Very nice bowls club, with a hearty welcome. Excellent green in tip top condition. Very enjoyable game of bowls. Served a pasty and drinks after the game. The siting of the green is perfect with a stream running by at one end leading to a park.
Great Park, lots for kids to play on, coffee/snack shack, lovely walks through park/along river, feed the ducks, what more could you want.
Fantastic place for children to play. Lot of room to play and have fun. At the park there is a nice little shop where you can get hot food and drinks. At the side of the playground, there is a canal with wild birds eagerly waiting to be fed. Ducks, pigeons, seagulls, and few others are there taking their share of food. Car parking is very nearby with a lot of space. Park is in Tavistok near the town centre. We are going there again. Playground: Lot of swings and other equipment for children of any age Restrooms: Public toilets are nearby the leisure centre Picnic area: Seating tables and chairs are doted around the play area of the park
Me, my wife, daughter in law and grandson who is 2 yrs old went to feed the ducks and play in the children's area. Having never been there before I was surprised at how the park and the play area were well looked after. There were a lot of people enjoying the sunshine. My grandson thoroughly enjoyed himself.
We had a good time here. Grandson enjoyed feeding the ducks and pigeons and was very happy when the pigeons landed on his hands. Good little playpark. Makes a change no dog poo.
The Meadows is always a pleasure to visit. I probably walk around the park 5 or 6 times a week. A very special place, the river on one side, the canal on the other. A fantastic time of year to visit, flowers, cherry blossom and ducklings.
Nice park in central tavistock, nice walk and playground for the children Little stream running through the park lots of pretty water birds ducks drakes ect, A nice place to take your children, or go for a stroll,
Great Park, the kids love it. There is a nice fenced off section for toddlers. The high slide is a favourite of my two monsters. There are also some 'rides' that are for bigger kids too. There's a lovely Riverside walk, acoffee shack, bmx trail/track, large grassy area. A great place to spend a few hours outside with the family.
