Having been to the restaurant several times over the years, it is becoming more and more evident that it is far too small for the service area it needs to cover. The staff are frequently rushed off their feet, people appear to be waiting in the car park for their food for extended periods of time, and overall the service levels are degraded during busy periods, due to customers needing to come from local towns to eat at the restaurant. Despite all of the shortcomings of being an overworked branch, the staff are always friendly and well-presented, and the restaurant is always a friendly and welcoming place for the hoards of visitors. Parking: Due to the trading-estate nature of the car park, unfortunately it can sometimes be very difficult to find a space to park, resulting in loss of conversion at times.
Went in and tried to order to have food in store. Waited 10 minutes to get to a working screen to order. Waited 15 minutes then decided I wouldn't be able to get a seat not helped by the massive chunk of the restaurant taken up by delivery drivers so asked if my order could be packed to take away. That took another 10 minutes. I understand that I was busy and I have no problem with a short wait but fast food should be fast. This is never the place with this McDonald's. After 35 minutes I'm handed a bag with cold food. So cold that 2 burgers had frozen buns. This has to be one of the worst McDonald's in the country. Can't even be blamed on being short staffed as I counted 31 people in McDonald's uniforms aimlessly wondering about not doing much
Delivery takes an hour plus so the food is cold and most of it has to be thrown away - you can’t nuke fries and I’m not putting the oven on just to heat a portion. They need to stop serving food they can’t deliver in an edible state. Now I think of it, the food is cold even when it’s delivered quickly When will I learn?!!
Fairly standard mcdonalds, food was decent and the service was relatively quick especially considering we arrived shortly before the breakfast-lunch switch-over. The parking and drive-thru areas are a bit of a nightmare if it's remotely busy so it may be better to park in another part of the industrial estate instead. Perfectly fine mcdonalds, only issue is that it could do with being cleaned more regularly
Do not order here if you are in a rush, very slow service. Waited 30 minutes for 2x happy meals and an adult meal. Ordered 3 x mcflurries and waited 15 minutes. Food however was warm.
With the amount of staff behind the tills and the lack of customers I expected service to be much quicker. I also watched a member of staff flirting at the tills with what looked like a friend or member of staff who may have just finished shift whilst somebody was waiting for their food which was clearly on the counter waiting for a bottle of water. A member of staff asked for water but was ignored by the member of staff in the tills. The customer was getting frustrated as his food was on the counter going cold. He then approach ed the member of staff for the water and was told he would have to wait. Food still on counter getting cold. The water should have been the first thing ready on the order. The manager didn't handle the situation very well assuming the customer was in the wrong and jumped to staff defence. There were over 10 members of staff be hind the counter and about 10 customers. Ridiculously bad service.
The Big Tasty was nice and the McCrispy was apparently gorgeous. However, the "hot" drinks were tepid at best. This is because they were prepped straight away and then sat on a shelf waiting ten minutes for the food. Why not pour the drinks at the right time?Food: 4/5
BAD EXPERIENCE HERE. Workers seem to struggle when it's busy getting orders wrong and forgetting items. To top it off a hair was found in the mozzarella dippers which were also burnt ! All round bad experience would definitely not be eating from this McDonald's again
Probably one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had from there. Luke warm at the most and then asked for a banana milkshake and was given a vanilla shake instead. By the time I got home I couldn’t even be bothered to return to complain as it took nearly 20 minutes to get served to start with. I don’t think I will ever return there again Not impressed
Absolutely shocking service. It took 20 minutes to get my meal, which was nothing complicated nuggets and a triple cheeseburger and the restaurant was not especially busy. The staff were running about like headless chickens at the front and god only knows what the staff cooking in the back were doing - there was at least 10 of them! The manager was as much use as a chocolate teapot and I caught her staring into space on several occasions. When the food was presented to me, I recieved no apology for the lateness of my "fast food" order. My drink was warm and watery as it was selected from a table of 30 already poured drinks of all varieties and sizes, the burger was tepid and looked like it had been made by a blind toddler. For someone who stopped in on their way back from Glastonbury looking for something hot to fill them up after an exhausting week and nursing a severe comedown this is not acceptable. I will be making sure to skip this one on the way home next year.
