The shop is convenient for grabbing necessary things quickly instead of having to take a trip into town. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. However some of the prices are ridiculously high which can be difficult for students who are struggling with money.
Changed a lot since the last reviews. The prices are still slightly over the top, however it's very convenient and the store has set open/shut times. The student staff continue to be friendly. My main problem is that Pringles are £3 per can, other than that the prices are reasonable.
If you are a student at edge hill university you will know how useful the mccolls is. While relatively expensive and not great for doing large shops. It is great for picking up a few items or a days worth of food. The staff are always lovely and it is in a great location
They need to sort out their fridges. Always broken, not reliable.
This place is ridiculous, highest prices I’ve ever seen. On top of that closing times vary without notice. As a “student shop” it should be suitable for students in terms of prices, convenience; but this place is VERY FAR from being convenient. Thieves!
I'm a little puzzled as to why there is a limited choice of non-dairy milk on sale; I've checked again and again, and all you stock is coconut milk. You have dozens of brands and types of dairy milk, but no choice for milk alternatives. Please update your stock to include non-dairy milk.
Most of the staff who work here are extremely rude and definitely don't care for the customer. I often see out of date products on the shelfs. Check dates before buying. I have probably had over 20 bad experiences in this shop and thats not even me being picky. Opening hours are always changing without notice. Sort it out McColls.
Nice personnel, almost never have anything
Okay shop, prices are insane especially for disabled students such as my self who have no other options on campus, opening times still seem to vary without notice
Good choice of food and drink with post office inside. Easy to access. Friendly and polite staff
