First time we've been to the maypole and we really enjoyed our meal. Food came out piping hot and cooked very well. The timing of the food from starter to main was bang on point. The main meals were a full plate and very delicious we were very impressed. We booked to eat here as its very popular so book before you go... would definitely recommend
Cosy country pub with traditional pub food and the odd little extra. Found the service to be first class although the time between finishing starter and main arriving was very short some may like this. Food was well cooked, would recommend it for a nice pub meal at reasonable prices.
We visited this place for Mother's day and had the carvery which is served from 12-8pm on a Sunday. Happy friendly staff, clean and welcoming restaurant, and lovely food, well done all. Thankyou to the lovely gentleman sorry didn't get his name that served us today and made our dining experience great, we will be back
We have been here a few times. Latest being today for a birthday lunch. Lovely atmosphere with well spaced tables. Very friendly staff. Great home cooked food at a reasonable price. Disability friendly. Definitely recommend.
Today 6 of us went for Sunday carvery to celebrate our 63rd wedding aniversary. We were not disappointed the whole lunch was wonderful. We often go to eat during the week we have never been dissapointed. Keep up the good work all of you. Thankyou.
Really lovely food although menu slightly different on their website, service was average, had to keep asking for drinks and no one checked on us during courses. Also told at 10.20 that they would be closing in 5 mins but closing time is 11 on the website? Luckily the taxi could come earlier than booked.
Had lunch here today with a friend, didn't book and very busy but staff found us a table. £10 lunch menu was amazing had pie of the day. Excellent service, will certainly be going back.

Good portions at the carvery. Friendly efficient staff. Book early, it's popular but not overcrowded i.e. you given space.
