Quite simply the best fish and chips I've tasted in Yorkshire. Unlike some other places which can be good some days, others not - Maypole is always top drawer.

Great fish and chips. Very clean. Use good quality ingredients; friendly and polite staff; reasonable prices; eat in if you like. Tables outside if you want. No extra charge. Varied menu available if you don't want the nation's favourite!
Had F & C there today and they were delicious and very reasonably priced. Had the same in Bridlington on Sunday just near where the fish are landed and got three meals today for less than two cost on Sunday.. Maypole is brilliant value and taste.
