Unfortunately everything about this place was awful. The staff were rude and ignorant. Not a single plate was cleared the whole time we were sat there so it was getting hard to move around. However they were clearing empty tables so they could seat new people. The food was not good quality and I found a hair in the rice. Would’ve raised it with a member of staff but no one came over at all or was to be seen aside from running around seating people so there was no way to speak to anyone. Also the restaurant is far too hot, could do with some air con. Wasn’t worth a penny.
Visited years ago, buffet, felt like there was only fried food on offer. Gave it a second chance as I love Chinese food. Walked in, refurbed! Felt like the space had been opened up, very busy, good selection of food, parking close by. Staff are very helpful and friendly, reasonably priced for a buffet. My only comment is that the buffet could be labelled more.
Very mid All the food was dry and wasn’t that good almost felt like it had no flavour. Pretty much no halal options Deserts are trash , ice cream that the cheapest option from Sainsbury’s and worst biscuit like if they got the cheapest ones from Lidl’s to go with ice cream All the staff did is walk around watch you like if you going to run away with the food. The table was dirty and the person that walk us to the table didn’t even offer to clean it for us before we sit. Only thing that I enjoyed was the music. There was spiderwebs all around the front wall, the staff walking around so much when you eating instead of doing that maybe they should clean up their “restaurant”.
Love the food here and highly recommend the shredded chicken! Theres a great mix of authentic chinese dishes and british chinese too. Food is actually hot and has flavourFood: 5/5
Food was OK but the place is filthy, don't even look in the toilets there shocking. Ceiling vents full of dust, dirty chair's sticky tables.blocked fire escapes. The place needs closing and a full refurbishment. It's agold mine but it's filthy.Food: 3/5
It was okay, no issues with the food though could have done with more options on the desserts. Just be careful if you have allergies as the labels don't always match what is in the pans and there are some things you can tell what it is until you eat it. It was my first time visiting so staff could have explained how it works instead of just taking drinks order and walking off. I wasn't sure whether to just go up and help myself or pay now or after etc. Maybe just ask if they have visited before and if they say yes explain how it works. Could also have a menu on the table so we can see what options there are before going up.
Food Poisoning! Everything started off tasting so lovely! Looked fresh polite staff etc. Then early hours of the morning the next day doubled over in AGONY! I have never felt pain like it! Vomiting everywhere and my stomach was burning. The only thing I had eaten that day was the food here, it was the worst bout of food poisoning I have ever had. I truly believe the food must have been left out too long. I will not be eating here again

The service was consistently excellent, marked by speed and attentiveness. May Sum impresses not only with its affordability but also with the dedication to serious and delicious cooking. It's a haven for those seeking a delightful and budget-friendly Chinese buffet experience without compromising on taste and service.
there is no fish option much, it is moderately clean place, cleaning stuff is all around. customer service is amazing!Food: 4/5
We two of us arrived at 20:45 and the receptionist told us only 1 hour left since the restaurant will be closed at 21:45. We said it’s fine and 1 hr is good enough to dine. However, the staff started to clear some food away after 21:00, but it still charged the same! As a result limited food selection and their staff even started to pack their own food to take away. It was ridiculous, many of us were still eating. The hygiene was bad as some food were slopped and I even saw a staff using his hand to pick up the food to eat directly from the food tray! The food taste was fair but salty, felt very thirsty after eating. Such an awful dining experience….
