Banku & Okro soup. Reminded me of mum's It's been a long time since I've eaten this and lots of good memories of being in Ghana came flooding back. The banku wasn't too sour, the soup was so comforting and flavourful, meat was so tender and the service was just perfect. Top marks, I'll be going back for the turkey tail, kenkey and pepper next.
Authentic kenkey soft shrimps and fish fried to perfection just the way I like it. You might have to exercise lots of patience, just one server but quite smart and polite. The place could use some more room though. Will 99.9% recommendFood: 5/5
Authentic Ghanaian food. Welcoming and well kept. Eat in and takeaway available at great prices. This place was rightly praised in "Sunday Brunch" Channel 4. Real fresh and tasty food. A fireworks of exotic flavours. One of the best African restaurant in the heart of Brixton inside the street food market. I had Jollof rice with fish, and a rice with black beans to take away and a sweet traditional doughnut.
True Jollof rice, lots of quantity and real tasty, definitely will be backFood: 5/5
Interesting experience, less than a tenner! Tasty, authentic and friendly staff! Must try!Food: 5/5
Very rude women serving/cooking. Saying in a loud voice 'they will have to wait' when we never even said a word. Another local was sat gossiping about all the customers. Was a very uncomfortable experience, best thing was walking out of there. Maybe it was because I wasnt ghanain but my boyfriend is and even he said he wouldnt go back. Food mediocre but at least cheap. Shocking customer service
The restaurant has variety of African food, service is very good, and even in this covid times, the owner has taken the necessary steps to make customers visit safe and enjoyable, i will be visiting again surely.
Best Ghanaian Food Ever! I travel all the way from Croydon to Brixton just for that food as it is always fresh and prices r not bad too.
Sensational taste of Ghana...I still think about the jollof I had hereFood: 5/5
